COLD BREW AT HOME

Over the last three years I have experimented with making heaps of different cold brewed drinks including cold brew coffee, tea and more recently fabulous cold chocolate cacao nibs... I've always been a mad tea drinker so my first experiments with cold brewing involved making my own cold tea infusions. These are amazing in summer when hot brewed tea isn't so appealing. I also discovered that tea made with cold water is less bitter than when you just cool the hot stuff down with ice... My experiments with cold brew coffee came later. Unlike most people I didn't start with an obsession with regular hot coffee and then discover cold brew. I've actually never really enjoyed hot coffee (I know for some of you that makes me a real weirdo). I always found hot coffee bitter. To really enjoy it I had to add so much sugar or flavored syrup that it was more like drinking soda!
