Dr Ademola Afolabi

Dr. Ademola is an experienced clinician who has worked in Australia and overseas. He completed his primary training (MBBS) in Nigeria where he worked as a Medical Officer before moving to Australia where he completed his Master of Public health and Master of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Queensland. He later moved to Shepparton, Victoria, where he started work in the hospital as a Medical Officer. He was, most recently, a Rehabilitation Medicine Registrar at Goulburn valley health Shepparton. He appreciates the impact of General Practice on the health system and community and enjoys the flexibility and wide range that General Practitioners cover. He has great inter-personal skills and prioritizes patients' safety. His interests include rehabilitation, post-operative re-conditioning, preventive healthcare, and multi-disciplinary approach to management. He has great experience with emergencies, chronic disease management, pediatrics, mental and indigenous health. Outside work, Dr. Ademola is a dedicated family man, enjoys watching soccer, and practices mathematics in his spare time.

Dr Ahamed Mustaq

Dr Mustaq is an experienced clinician with more than 20 years of working experience and 3 years of travelling experience who wished it was the other way around. As a doctor he started his journey in India and then moved to UK, Ireland and finally to Australia more than 10 years ago. He has worked in various hospitals in and around Brisbane and joined Country Doctors Practice in April 2021. His experience have taken him into emergency departments, general medicine, ICU, paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Surgery and general practice. He is well trained to deal with emergencies and has special interests in paediatrics, indigenous health and mental health. He is excited about this move to Laidley and looking forward to a long standing relationship with the Lockyer Valley community. Throughout the years, Dr Mustaq has found pleasure in helping people and says he does not have the answers to every mystery in the world but he is here to help you navigate through complexities. He is an avid soccer player, and also has keen interest in stock market, personal finance and travelling.

Dr Thushari Attanayake

Dr Thushari is an experienced General Practitioner and a Medical officer. She worked as a trained medical officer in Anaesthesia/ICU for many years. She also has experience working in Children Hospital Emergency Service and Cardiothoracic Surgery. She has a special interest in Women's health, Children's health, and Chronic Disease Management. She is a dedicated Doctor who always strive to serve the Community with a friendly and caring attitude.

Dr Zara Ashraf

Dr Zara graduated and completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2012 from University of Karachi, Pakistan. Since her move to Australia in 2014, Dr Zara worked mostly in Queensland hospitals with experience across a range of specialties including emergency medicine. She enjoys the diversity of work in general practice and feels rewarded when she gets to know her patients and gains their trust. Her interest includes women and children health, antenatal and postnatal care, mental health, chronic diseases management, preventive healthcare including weight management, indigenous health and immunisations. Outside work, she enjoys travelling, gardening and spending time with her family.
