Emily Korobkin

Emily Korobkin has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Concentration in Social Work from Oakland University, and a Master's of Social Work from Wayne State University. Emily has worked in the Geriatric field since 2005 and has experience working as The Director of Social Services in nursing home/rehab facilities, as a Geriatric Case Manager through the Area Agency on Aging, and as a Geriatric Care Manager with Jewish Family Service. Currently, Emily has taken on the role of Medical Social Worker in Hospice and Home Health Care, as well as working as a Geriatric Care Manager since 2017. Emily takes pride in her commitment to helping others and being an advocate for older adults. Emily is a Licensed Master Social Worker with the state of Michigan. She enjoys on-going learning and education and is always working on honing her skills. Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering for Make-A-Wish Michigan, and creating art.

Melissa Gadd

Melissa is a Licensed Master's Level Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing social work for almost fifteen years. Having studied at the Columbia University School of Social Work, she completed her degree at the University of Michigan. Though she has experience working with many different populations, her specialty includes our aging population and the issues related to the quality of life of older adults including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief related issues, and additional life stressors. Melissa has both a Specialized Certificate in Aging and a formal designation as a Clinical Social Worker in Gerontology, conferred upon her by the National Association of Social Workers. An empathic listener, Melissa uses an eclectic approach while working with adults in various stages of their lives, emphasizing a strength perspective. She truly enjoys helping others and looks forward to supporting you.

Susan Witus

Professional training, experience and life have created my passion for helping clients navigate the world of older adult services. As a young woman, I dealt first hand with illness, caregivers, family dynamics and the medical world. Taking this experience to the University of Michigan, I continued to study psychology & social work with a special interest in medical settings and families. I worked for years with children and families prior to working with older adults. After taking a job as a Senior Outreach coordinator for the City of Huntington Woods, my passion for helping older adults grew into a career as a Geriatric Care Manager. For the last 10 years as a Geriatric Care Manager and Consultant, I have honed my skills in working with families and combine this with my knowledge of community resources. I take a highly individualized approach to advising & supporting my clients. In order to help my clients reach their goals it is necessary to keep current with the top resources. I am knowledgeable about a wide variety of resources that include medical, caregiving, personal care, transportation, legal, financial and community living residences. In the day to day service to my clients, they always get the most thorough, attentive care and supervision.
