The Federation of Bombay Blood Banks was established on October 1, 1980. It supports its activities through donations received from Trusts and Industrial houses and through various charity shows. All donations are exempt under Section 80G of income tax Act... A self-supporting non-profit organization formed by 51 blood banks in Mumbai and is registered as a Charity Trust under the B.P.T Act, 1950.
