Dr. Dan Lam

Dr. Dan Lam is a native to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. He grew up in Everman, TX where he graduated high school. From there, he went on to get his Bachelors in Biochemistry at the University of Houston. Dr. Lam received his Doctorate at Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, where he graduated with honors as a member of the International Optometric Honor Society, Beta Sigma Kappa. While in school, Dr. Lam gained his clinical experience at a private practice in Houston that emphasized specialty contact lens fittings from medically necessary contact lenses for conditions such as keratoconous and post lasik ectasia, and ortho-keratology (ortho-k) for myopia control. From there he went on to rotate at the VA in San Antonio, which helped expand his knowledge of ocular and systemic diseases including but not limited to glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension. After graduating, he moved back to the DFW Metroplex to work in a local private practice as an optometrist where he applied all of his clinical knowledge to better serve the community. He is an active member of the Tarrant County Optometric Society, the Texas Optometry Association, and the American Optometric Association. With what little free time he has, he likes to spend time with his wife, Trang, and two children. In addition to being a father and husband, he enjoys disc golf, kayaking, and smoking meats for cookouts.
