Dr. Arushi Chaudhary

Dr. Chaudhary graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in June 2023. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University, which led to her interest in anatomy and physiology. One of Dr. Chaudhary's many professional interests is in emergency medicine and critical care. She enjoys working through complex cases as well as providing preventative medicine to keep your pets as healthy as possible!

Dr. Carmen Chan

Dr. Carmen Chan is the owner and principal veterinarian at Point Grey Veterinary Hospital. She grew up in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology. Upon graduation, she traveled to Australia to pursue a veterinary medicine degree and graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2009. After spending some time working in a large welfare animal hospital in the heart of Melbourne, Carmen joined a private small animal practice for the next 4 years before returning to Vancouver in 2014. It wasn't long before she joined forces with her husband, Rhys, to take over ownership of Point Grey Veterinary Hospital in 2015. Some of Carmen's main areas of interest include preventive medicine, senior health care, dental health, and cardiology. She is dedicated to providing the very best veterinary care and believes in working closely with clients to create treatment plans that best suit the needs of each client and their pets. Carmen is fluent in both Cantonese and English. It is her goal to build strong relationships with her clients and provide consistency in the care of their furry friends. Carmen is looking forward to meeting everyone and welcomes all questions or concerns you may have.

Dr. Carmen Lo

Dr. Carmen Lo grew up in Vancouver for the majority of her life. She attended the University of British Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing in 2000. However, she decided to pursue her childhood dream of being a veterinarian and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with Honours from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2007. After graduation, she moved to St. John's, Newfoundland, and worked at a 7 doctor veterinary hospital for a year and a half. In 2008, she moved back to Vancouver and has been practicing veterinary medicine in the lower mainland ever since.

Dr. Clare Doherty

Clare, hailing from the vibrant city of Dublin, Ireland, is a veterinarian with a deep-rooted passion for surgery and a commitment to delivering outstanding care to animals. Her expertise in veterinary medicine is matched by her compassionate approach, ensuring that every animal she treats receives the best possible care. Outside the clinic, Clare is an avid adventurer and nature enthusiast. She often escapes to the tranquility of the mountains, where she finds peace and rejuvenation amidst the rugged landscapes. Her love for the outdoors also draws her to the sea, where she enjoys swimming and embracing the invigorating ocean waters. Back at home, Clare's heart belongs to Fiachra, her three-year-old rescue cat. Fiachra, named after an ancient Irish legend, is not just a pet but a cherished companion. Their bond is a testament to Clare's love for animals, extending beyond her professional life. In her downtime, playing and caring for Fiachra provides her with joy and a special connection to the animal world.

Dr. Jessica Robinson

Dr. Jessica Robinson is a 2021 graduate from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI where she received recognition for excellent patient care in her clinical years. Dr. Jessica Robinson is a 2021 graduate from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI. She received recognition for excellent patient care in her clinical years. Jessica is South African by birth but became a Canadian citizen after spending her childhood in Winnipeg before moving to British Columbia. Since those early years, Jessica has been involved in the veterinary medicine field in some capacity. From volunteering with O.W.L as a young adult to assisting at the BC Wildlife Park while completing her Bachelor of Science at Thompson Rivers University, Jessica has always enjoyed being immersed in the many spectacular aspects of this line of work. True to her Canadian upbringing, she spends a considerable amount of time participating in winter sports. She also adores back-country hiking and enjoying all the beauty nature offers (which certainly isn't difficult to do in a place like Vancouver). You may even see her biking into work if you are scheduled for the first appointment of the day! Jessica has a wide variety of professional interests, some of which include nutrition, behaviour, and acupuncture. Keeping to Fear-Free principles, she believes in making each fur baby's visit as calm and low-stress as she possibly can. She is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Point Grey Veterinary Hospital family and cannot wait to get to know you and your pets!

Dr. Kim Castro

Dr. Kim Castro attained her veterinary degree from the University of Edinburgh in the UK in 2018. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Biology (Hons) from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Castro started her career as a veterinarian in the small town of Ladysmith in Vancouver Island, before moving to Melbourne, Australia for 3.5 years. There, she worked in a busy general practice, where a big part of her role involved performing laparoscopic surgeries. The opportunity to work alongside highly skilled surgeons inspired her to develop a strong passion for surgery. In 2022, Dr. Castro passed her memberships exams in small animal surgery, making her a member of the small animal surgical chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. In the summer of 2022, she moved to the beautiful city of Vancouver to be closer to family. Dr. Castro enjoys keeping an active lifestyle and loves to travel. In her free time you'll find her hiking and camping during the summer, and skiing or reading a good book in the winter. She loves a good spin class to start the week, and likes to unwind with a mid-week hot yoga session. She looks forward to meeting you and your furry companions!

Dr. Rebecca Burke

Dr. Rebecca Burke grew up in the west of Ireland and graduated from veterinary school at University College Dublin in 2017. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Dr. Burke first came to Canada for the summer with friends and quickly knew it was where she wanted to put down roots. She has a particular interest in companion animal nutrition and behaviour. Dr. Burke loves to take her high-energy pup, Watson, on long hikes and the occasional run in her spare time.
