FOX PETERSON - Key Persons
Amiee joined the Fox Peterson team in August of 2018 as the morning receptionist after spending several years as a homemaker. Amiee has an Associate Degree in Computer Technology - Web Design, and has an abundance of work experience in financial services and IT project management, as well as intellectual property law administration. When she isn't at Fox Peterson, she is spending time with her husband and kids, watching sports and movies, and enjoying reading, card crafting, working out and puzzles of all varieties.
Amy joined the Fox Peterson team as the morning receptionist in April 2016. In Sept 2016 she became part of our Accounting Staff helping with monthly accounting clients and assisting Marilyn with sales tax reporting and payroll. Amy earned her Associates Degree in Accounting but has most recently been a stay-at-home mom and public school librarian. Outside of work at Fox Peterson, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, reading, movies, and game night with neighbors.
Dani Lyn is very excited to have joined Fox Peterson as Office Manager in 2016. Her years of experience in managing departments and solving business problems have enabled her to quickly make significant contributions to the Fox Peterson team. Her experience in accounting made for an easy transition to Accounting Manager in 2018. Dani Lyn was born and raised in Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University. She has held many roles in her professional career from Office Manager, consultant in her own business, to president of a local finance and accounting firm. Dani Lyn loves all things family. She has six children and two grandchildren. When she is not at Fox Petersen, she will often be found spoiling her two beautiful grandchildren or supporting her children at their volleyball, rugby and football games. She loves serving at her church with the women and youth organizations. Dani Lyn also enjoys spending time in the outdoors, watching college sports, reading, cooking, puzzles, riding quads, and hiking with her family.
Dason joined Fox Peterson starting with the 2014 tax season. He completed his Bachelor of Accounting at BYU-Idaho in 2011 and went on to receive a dual Masters in Accounting and Business Administration at Idaho State University. He obtained his CPA license in the summer of 2014. Dason spends his free time with his wife and three children. He enjoys watching basketball and volleyball, but would much rather be on the hardwood competing. Dason plays the piano, guitar and drums whenever he gets a chance. He also likes spending time camping, four-wheeling, and spelunking.
David joined the Fox Peterson Firm in October of 2014. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2014 with two Bachelor's degrees; one in Accounting and the other in Computer Information Systems. He graduated in May 2015 with a Master's in Taxation from ASU. Outside of work, David loves to spend time with his wife while they discover the joys of parenthood as they spend time with and take care of their two children. David is an avid football fan and loves to watch it as often as he can. Although football is his favorite, David loves sports in general and enjoys any time he can either play or watch them. He also enjoys watching movies and TV shows with his wife. When he can get away he also loves camping, riding quads, being outdoors and spending time with extended family. David speaks Spanish and appreciates any opportunity when he can do that.
Grace recently joined the Fox Peterson family as an intern for 2022 Tax Season. Grace comes from a large family and grew up in West Haven, Utah. She enjoys long distance running, hiking, playing the piano, loves the ocean, and lives for a good Utah Summer. Grace recently returned from living in Hawaii where she enjoyed the island food, beaches, snorkeling, and surfing. As a student attending BYU-Idaho, Grace is happy to (once again) trade the snow in for sun while interning here at Fox Peterson. Grace is pursuing a degree in Accounting and plans to further her education by attending graduate school and to eventually take the CPA exam following her undergrad.
Harrison recently joined Fox Peterson as a tax intern for the 2022 Tax Season. Harrison was born in Arizona and grew up in both Mesa and Gilbert. He is currently enrolled in BYU-Idaho and is working towards his Bachelors in Accounting. From 2016-2018, Harrison provided service as a missionary for his church in Salt Lake City in the fields of genealogy. He enjoys spending time with his family, and likes to watch movies and animation in his free time. Harrison plans to finish his last semester at BYU-Idaho and work towards passing the CPA exam.
Kaitlyn grew up in Springerville, Arizona and is one of 6 kids. She was raised on her family's ranch, where she enjoys riding horses and branding calves. She graduated from BYU-Idaho with her bachelor's degree in Accounting in December 2021. She plans on continuing her education to receive her Masters and take the exams to get her CPA license. When she isn't in school, she loves to hang out with her friends, read, and be outside in the sun do anything active.
Mary Ann joined the Fox Peterson team May of 2018. She grew up in the White Mountains of Arizona. After completing her Associates degree from Eastern Arizona College she moved to the valley and completed her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Since working at Fox Peterson she has completed a few Accounting courses at Mesa Community college and has learned a great deal from the accounting team here at Fox Peterson. Mary Ann handles Accounts Receivable and any LLC paperwork needed. More importantly she is in charge of making sure the chocolate jars are always full. When she is not at Fox Peterson she enjoys traveling, hiking, organizing her garage, and eating cheese.
Nathan recently graduated from BYU - Idaho at the end of 2018. After which he joined the Fox Peterson team. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Accountancy Program at Western Governors University. After which he plans on studying for and taking the CPA exams. When not working, Nathan loves to hang out with his family. He loves to hang out at home watching TV, but is at his happiest when he can get to the outdoors. He loves scenic drives, hiking, camping, swimming, and taking his 2-year-old boy to the park.
Rachel graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. After graduation she spent 5 years with Deloitte in Phoenix, working primarily with big public companies and high net worth individuals. While there she was promoted to Senior Tax Consultant and obtained her CPA license. In 2014, Rachel joined Halverson & Company and spent 5 years working with a variety of client types, business structures and industries. During her time at Halverson & Company, she advanced to the position of Senior Manager and was heavily involved with providing tax accounting, consulting and compliance services to a wide range of businesses from large public and private corporations to closely held flow-through entities, trusts and individuals. Rachel also has experience with Quickbooks, multi state tax application, transaction planning and audit defense.
Rachel joined Fox Peterson in September 2019 and is excited for the opportunity to leverage her past professional experience and technical expertise to help smaller businesses and individuals plan for the future and be successful with their financial endeavors.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 10 nieces and nephews. She also enjoys volunteering at her church, reading, romantic comedies, doing CrossFit (the noncompetitive kind), hiking in the great outdoors, trying new restaurants and travelling. Her latest adventure was a trip to Africa where she spent time on safari and doing humanitarian service for a small village in Kenya.
Renee worked as an Executive Assistant in the Electronics industry for 8 years. She then left the workforce to raise four children who are all now married and progressing in their chosen careers. Renee has earned business and IT related college credits at Mesa Community College. Renee chose to re-enter the workforce and joined Fox Peterson in January 2021 as Administrative Assistant. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling to see her three grandchildren, going out to eat and shopping with friends. Anyone who knows Renee, knows she loves to bake, with cookies being her specialty.
Sara recently joined the Fox Peterson family as a tax intern for the 2022 Tax Season. Sara was born and raised in Pima, Arizona. She is currently attending BYU - Idaho to obtain an Accounting Degree. When not busy with school or work, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She loves hiking around scenic areas and watching any ballet or concert she can find. In the future, Sara plans to further her education by attending graduate school and taking the CPA exam.
Taylor started as an intern at Fox Peterson in January 2020. Taylor grew up in Queen Creek Arizona on the family farm. Currently she is studying accounting at BYU-Idaho and will be graduating with her bachelor's degree in April 2021. When she isn't in school, she loves to be outside doing anything fun with her husband, play board games, doing arts and crafts, and playing the piano.
Tom has been a tax accountant for many years running his own practice. He joined the Fox Peterson team in January 2022.
Tyson has been with Fox Peterson since early 2011. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Communications and completed his Masters of Science in Accounting from Grand Canyon University in 2012. After plenty of early and late hours studying he passed the last of the CPA exams in the summer of 2014 and received his license later that fall. After spending several years in the corporate business world he believes he has found his home here on the Fox Peterson team. He loves to help small businesses get on their feet and make smart steps that will insure their longevity. Outside of work Tyson loves spending time with his wife and six children. He says that nothing in life compares to the joy of watching his children grow and experience new things. He serves as a local Boy Scout youth leader and having grown up in a small town in northern Arizona he loves all things outdoor. It's not uncommon to find him hiking to a mountain top, snowboarding down a wintery slope, or simply relaxing around the campfire. Tyson is the Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) for our office.
