Erika Clemons

Erika Clemons is the assistant vice president for International Programs and Admissions, overseeing Executive Leadership Education, Global Programs and International Admissions. Clemons leads the teams responsible for developing and implementing partnership programs, managing international student recruitment and enrollment, and training programs for university leaders abroad. She joined the Office of Global Engagement in 2010 as the associate director for Global Partnerships and Relations, responsible for facilitating and managing international agreements and contracts between Temple and international partners. Prior to this role, she served as the assistant director for Development in the College of Science and Technology. Clemons has been with Temple since 2008.

Martyn J. Miller

As assistant vice president for Global Engagement at Temple University, Martyn J. Miller oversees the International Services and Cultural Activities division, which includes the Center for American Language and Culture (TCALC), Confucius Institute, International Student Affairs (ISA), and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). Miller also assists with student recruiting and partnership development in the Indian subcontinent, and in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Miller has at various times also headed Global Programs, International Admissions, and International Marketing and Communication. He has taught a course in the Intellectual Heritage program and the university seminar Global Citizenship. Miller holds master's and doctoral degrees in Fantasy and Medieval English Literature from the University of Georgia and a bachelor's degree (with distinction) in English Literature, as well as a teaching diploma in English as a Foreign Language from the American University of Beirut (AUB). He has held leadership positions in such organizations as the Georgia Association of International Educators, Georgia TESOL, NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the Pennsylvania Council on International Education (PaCIE), and TESOL. He currently serves as inaugural chair of StudyPA. Prior to joining Temple in 1999 as director of ISSS, Miller was department head of the University of Georgia American Language Program. An Arab-American, Miller grew up in Syria and Lebanon and has lived in the U.S. since graduating from AUB.

Maureen Gordon

Maureen Gordon has worked in higher education for more than 15 years, spending most of her career facilitating education abroad programs that promote student development and global learning. Gordon is an experienced leader in international education with demonstrated success in program management, communication strategy and crisis response. She held multiple positions in Temple University's Education Abroad Office before joining Arcadia Abroad in 2015 as director of health, safety and security. In this role, Maureen oversaw student support, crisis management and program safety for Arcadia's global centers, and later added enrollment, retention and student success to her portfolio. In 2021, Gordon returned to Temple as director of Education Abroad and Overseas Campuses. She has served on multiple committees and presented widely at the Forum on Education Abroad, NAFSA and other professional organizations. A two-time Temple alumna, Maureen holds a bachelor's in studio art and a master's degree in educational leadership and policy studies.
