Maeve Goodbody

Maeve Goodbody has practiced law on the Western Slope since 2011, focusing primarily in the areas of divorce and family law and criminal law. With extensive trial experience in a wide range of criminal and civil matters, she knows how to choose battles wisely and get results. Maeve Goodbody most recently worked at Colorado Legal Services (CLS), providing high-quality legal serves to low-income Coloradans. At CLS, she exclusively handled family law cases, representing survivors of domestic violence in divorce and custody cases. Prior to that, Maeve worked for two civil litigation firms in Grand Junction and served as a public defender for five years. As a public defender, she took more than 40 cases to jury trial with successes including not-guilty verdicts for clients with cases ranging from homicide to sexual assault to DUI. Ms. Goodbody is a zealous advocate who does not shy away from litigation. She also places paramount value on skillful out-of-court negotiation and diligently works to facilitate settlement when it is appropriate and achievable. Outside of work, Maeve enjoys spending time with her two young children and husband, watching Oregon Ducks football and basketball and exploring Western Colorado.
