Government College Barhi, Katni was established by the Government of Madhay Pradesh. The Department of Higher Education, MP Govt. opened this college on 15 August 1989. The college is affiliated to Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur and is recognized by the UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b)of the UGC act of 1956. The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in the year 2020 and was conferred B grade.
