The original store carried Benjamin Moore Paint, along with a good selection of wallcovering and picture frames. The line of Porter Paints was added in 1958. Winston Bowling was a Porter Sales Rep who called on Hoover Paint. In 1962, Mr. Hoover retired and sold his business to Winston and Billie Jo Bowling. In 1974, with space at a premium, the company decided to sell off the picture framing business. One of their sons, Tim, began working part time in the business during high school.
