Bathélemy Bolivar

Currently working as an instructor at the University of Manitoba, Bathelemy Bolivar has regularly served as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Technology in Knowledge Sharing and The International Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology Learning. His main research interests are in Cultural Studies in Education and Learning Environment Research methods. He has also co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in the field of social and academic integration of the immigrant/refugee student population within the French minority settings in Canada. He has founded and directed Haitian School without Borders, a unique initiative to provide a free high-quality online education for all Haitian students. He was invited as a jury member at the Canadian Council for the Arts to deliberate in French poetry contests. For his two decades of innovative teaching practices at both high school and University levels, the unending commitment to quality education for all and other numerous community services, Bolivar was named in March 2015, one of the Manitoba Future "Top 40 Under 40" by CBC and Metro News.

Dr. Katsia Cadeau

Dr. Katsia Cadeau earned her doctoral degree in Organizational and Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and is a St. Thomas University Alumna. She has presented her research on classroom management and teaching science in elementary schools at various Florida Association of Teacher Educators (FATE) conferences for peer review. She has been an active participant in the Title V- Transformational Leadership Committee, Project Success, and FIPSE- Science Education Grant as the project coordinator. Dr. Cadeau is currently an Associate Professor and the Elementary and Minor in Education Director & Coordinator for the Institute for Education. Serving as the Program Director, Dr. Cadeau has helped launch the Teachers Summer Recertification Workshops, which continues to grow yearly through two major partnerships in Miami Dade Public Schools and Broward Public Schools. Dr. Cadeau is the advisor and founder of the Future Teachers of America, the award-winning Most Improved Club.

Kevser Aktas

I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics, number theory. Afterwards, I continued my studies as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen's University, Canada. I am interested in algebraic and analytic number theory. Particularly, the application of the abc conjecture to some certain kind of Diophantine Equations and the number of the solutions of these sets. In addition, I am a hard working entrepreneur, problem solver, project manager and teaching innovator. I managed a European Union Youth in Action Programme Project called "Mathematics for All" with the collaboration of partners around all Europe. I enjoy showing off mathematics' applications to daily life examples using innovative teaching methods.

Rosmarin Heidenreich

Rosmarin Heidenreich holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of Toronto. She is Professor Emerita at the Université de Saint-Boniface, Winnipeg, where before her retirement she taught English and translation studies. She has been Visiting Professor in Canadian Studies at the Universities of Augsburg, Rostock, Greifswald and Marburg in Germany, and at the University of Vienna in Austria. Her publications include essays, articles and reviews as well as three books: The Postwar Novel in Canada (Wilfrid Laurier University Press), Paysages de désir. J.R. Léveillé : réflexions critiques (Ottawa, Éditions l'Interligne), and Literary Impostors: Canadian autofiction of the early twentieth century (forthcoming in 2018 from McGill-Queen's University Press). She is also the translator of a volume of poetry by Bathélemy Bolivar (Mots de terre/Voices of the Earth).

William Flannery

William Flannery graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with AB and MS degrees in mathematics and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He worked for more than twenty years as an aerospace and control systems engineer at high tech firms, among them Honeywell Aerospace (first use of laser gyros in space), Lockheed (sensor integration on the YF-22), Stanford Telecom (GPS system simulator), and Berkeley Process Control (advanced process control). He has written two books on the use of computers in engineering, Mathematical Modeling, and Computational Calculus.
