Dedicated to strengthening the armed forces of the Western Hemisphere, the Inter-American Defense Foundation (IADF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity that seeks to improve cooperation, establish productive dialogue, provide educational support, and to build capacity on defense issues in the region. The IADF is able to bring both civilian and military decision makers from across the Americas together to address pressing security issues, and create partnerships to implement innovative programs that generate sustainable, results-driven outcomes... The Foundation provides support to the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), the world's oldest regional defense organization, and its activities in the region. As the only pan-hemispheric defense organization in the Americas, the IADB is the ideal body to address systemic underlying security and defense issues and work towards a more secure future. With 27 Member States across the hemisphere, the IADB is in a position to create a regional forum..
