  • Our Founder and CEO
Our founder and CEO, Leigh Bowman-Perks, is a businesswoman who is passionate about inspiring leadership. Our Founder and CEO, Leigh Bowman-Perks is a survivor of domestic violence and adversity. She knows, first hand, what it takes to overcome barriers to navigating aspirational goals and achieving financial independence. Leigh established the Inspiring Leadership Foundation because she was increasingly concerned by the diminishing levels of support for disadvantaged and vulnerable women and girls. Particularly, she saw gaps in the charity sector capabilities, limitations in governmental resources, and a lack of long-term, holistic and gender-tailored support. Today, Leigh is a successful business leader, international speaker/coach, philanthropist and author of "Inspiring Women Leaders". However, she attributes her success to the inspirational mentors and businesses that helped her to get to where she is now. Leigh understands what it takes to inspire and the duty we have to lead in service of others. Her mission when she started the foundation in 2015, was to harness the full power of a resourceful, talented and networked community of like-minded business leaders to affect change. Together, this inspiring business community is changing the landscape for equality, so every woman has the opportunity to realise their dreams and thrive, no matter their story. Leigh Bowman-Perks is a seasoned Executive Coach, Motivational Speaker, and Top Team Facilitator with a strong background in talent management, culture change, and leadership development. She authored ‘Inspiring Women Leaders' and co-authored the Inspiring Leadership Top Tips series. As CEO of the Inspiring Leadership Foundation, a global charitable organisation, Leigh is committed to empowering vulnerable women and children. She spearheaded the Inspiring Leadership Compass, a cutting-edge suite of psychometric tools. Currently, she's delving into ‘Inspiring Leadership and the Toxic Turnarounds,' a forthcoming book exploring multifaceted leadership dynamics. Join Leigh on her quest to revolutionize leadership. Leigh has made it her mission in life to develop more inspiring leaders globally and change the landscape so that women and girls can thrive. Leigh always shares that where she is now is not where she started! Understanding from her own personal experiences, as well as her research for her book and life's work into inspiring leadership, gender, and equality, Leigh was compelled to set up the Inspiring Leadership Foundation. The foundation aims to break down barriers to personal empowerment, financial inclusion, and equality for disadvantaged, vulnerable, and at-risk women and girls. She established a center of excellence in the UK and is now embarking on her ambition to create a global inspiring leadership movement with a local footprint, where our services create change in every community. As a businesswoman, mother, and grandmother, she understands her role in rising to the now critical challenge and importance of inspiring leaders leaving legacies.
