Ashley Skerry

Ashley joined Kimball Law in 2018, and articled with Heidi Foshay Kimball, Q.C. She was called to the bar in January 2019 and joined the firm as an Associate. Ashley's primary practice area is Family Law, such as divorce and separation agreements, as well as wills and other estate planning documents. Ashley graduated from the Schulich School of Law in 2017. While at Schulich, she was a member of the Student Animal Law Association of Dalhousie (SALAD), and participated in the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, both as a clinic student and as a volunteer with the Tenants' Rights Project. When she's not at the office, Ashley enjoys hiking, touring the craft breweries of Nova Scotia, and curling up with a good book and her two cats.

Christina V. Macdonald

Christina joined Kimball Law in 2017, articling with Derrick J. Kimball. She joined the firm as an associate after being admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in June 2018. Christina practices primarily civil litigation, including injury, insurance, and employment litigation. She also practices criminal litigation and property law. At Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law, Christina participated in the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, competed in the 2017 Gale Cup moot, and served as VP Academic for the Law Students' Society, among other roles. Originally from Fall River, she's now pleased to call the Annapolis Valley home. She enjoys visiting the region's excellent cideries and singing in a local choir, though not always in that order. Christina practices primarily civil litigation, including injury, insurance, and employment litigation. She also practices family and criminal litigation, wills, and property law.

Derrick J. Kimball

Derrick has been practicing law for 40 years. He started in general law practice in Wolfville, Nova Scotia in partnership with Linden Smith, Q.C. until 1983. Afterwards, he started his own practice - Kimball and associates, which has been open for more than 35 years.

Heidi Foshay Kimball

Heidi has been practicing law over 25 years. Over the years, she has practiced many areas including criminal defence, real-estate, estate planning and family law. She spends the majority of her time now in family law dealing with divorce matters, separations and custody agreements.

Sharon L. Cochrane

Sharon Cochrane has been practicing law at Kimball Law for over 15 years. Her main areas of practice include Litigation and Non-Litigation. Within Litigation, Sharon focuses on a number of areas including Motor Vehicle Accidents, Insurance claims, Slip & Fall and Family Law. She has practiced at all levels of the Court in Nova Scotia as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. Sharon has a strong involvement in the Annapolis Valley. She is very active with the Valley Women's Business Network as the President of the organization and with Chrysalis House Association as the Chair of the Board of Directors and a member of their committee to build a new shelter. She loves to travel and if a trip can be combined with hockey, all the better! Sharon is passionate about many areas of the law and therefore has a diverse practice with her main areas being Civil Litigation and Family Law. She has been practicing with Kimball Law for over 10 years.
