Attorney Bloom

Prior to founding Bloom Peters, LLC, Ms. Bloom was an attorney at one of the nation's top law firms focusing on class action securities litigation for institutional investors. She served as a law clerk for the Honorable Clyde W. Waite in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, and was a summer intern for the Women's Law Project in Philadelphia.

Danielle Peters, a partner at Bloom Peters, LLC, focuses on civil litigation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with a special focus in family law. Ms. Peters is a skilled litigator who handles difficult legal matters, including high conflict divorce and custody matters which often involve children with special needs. Ms. Peters is also trained in collaborative law for situations where clients want to take a more civilized approach to their legal issues. Attorney Peters is an ardent advocate for her clients. Ms. Peters was an active member of the Bucks County Crimes Against Older Adult Task Force and was a presenter at the 6th Annual William J. Neff Sr. Symposium on the Prevention of Crimes Against Older Adults. In addition to her duties in the Special Victims Division, she was also asked to assist in the administration of the county's ARD program.

Kathy Bloom, the managing partner at Bloom Peters, LLC, focuses her practice in the areas of family law, transactional law and mediation. She is experienced in resolving high conflict divorce and custody issues, including alienation, as well as, mutual consent divorces and amicable custody agreements. Ms. Bloom also brings years of experience to her practice in the area of real estate law, including purchase and sale of residential and commercial property, and landlord tenant issues. It is her belief that clients deserve respect, courtesy, and cooperation while dealing with life altering issues, such as divorce, custody, and support, purchasing or selling a home, or executing a will or power of attorney. While acting as a compassionate advocate, Ms. Bloom combines the unique ability to provide simple explanations of complex issues, and strives to make the process as painless as possible. She understands the need to fight when it is necessary, negotiate when it is appropriate, and compromise when it is required. Attorney Bloom is a collaboratively trained attorney who uses alternative methods of dispute resolution to keep parties out of court and help them resolve their issues in a constructive and productive manner. Similarly, she is trained in advanced methods of mediation and acts as a neutral mediator to help parties resolve their legal issues amicably. Ms. Bloom is a former officer of the Collaborative Law Professionals of Southeastern Pennsylvania. She is also a founding member of Lawyers With Heart, a group of collaborative attorney-mediators who believe clients should be empowered to make their own decisions instead of a court.

Marissa A. Sexton

Marissa A. Sexton is an attorney at Bloom Peters, LLC. Prior to joining Bloom Peters, LLC Ms. Sexton worked as an attorney at a prestigious Bucks County firm where she practiced in various areas of law, primarily focusing on Family Law, Estate Planning, and Real Estate law. As a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Pennsylvania and a property manager herself, Ms. Sexton brings a unique knowledge and expertise in real estate matters to the firm. Ms. Sexton also brings with her years of experience in family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child support and custody, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic abuse, as well as experience with wills, trusts, power of attorneys, and the litigation of such. Earlier in her career, Ms. Sexton served as a legal intern at a Worker's Compensation law firm in New York City and as a congressional intern for U.S. Congressman Gregory W. Meeks in Washington, D.C. She is a current member of the Bucks County Bar Association, Association of Women Lawyers, and a former member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and formerly the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Ms. Sexton is an active member in her community with years of volunteer work in local schools, soup kitchens, and religious institutions. In law school, Ms. Sexton was an active volunteer with the Domestic Relations Project in Camden, New Jersey. It is there that she received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
