Alexis L. Dougherty

One of Southern California's top board-certified dermatologists, Alexis Dougherty, MD, provides comprehensive care for chronic skin conditions and anti-aging needs. She welcomes new and existing patients to Kind Dermatology and Medical Spa in Santa Barbara, California. Dr. Dougherty earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas/MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Dougherty finished her post-graduate work with a dermatology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Because of her passion and dedication to the field of dermatology, Dr. Dougherty completed rigorous training to become board-certified in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology. Shortly after completing her medical training, Dr. Dougherty relocated to Santa Barbara, California to work in private practice and be close to her family.

Louise Stewart

A board-certified dermatologist since 1990, Dr. Stewart is pleased to have established her dermatology practice in Santa Barbara, California. Dr. Stewart is a California native who received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University. After earning her MD from Case Western Reserve University Medical School, Dr. Stewart served as an intern in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She went on to complete her Dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. Following Residency, Dr. Stewart has been in private practice both in California and in Florida. She also served as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Dermatology, UCLA School of Medicine. A fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology and diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Stewart is also a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Mary Elizabeth Hartman

A board certified Dermatologist who is happy to be joining Kind Dermatology. Dr. Hartman was born in a Quonset hut on Saipan, lived in Cyprus as a toddler and Alice Springs, Australia as a teenager. Her professional training was completed at the University of Miami in Florida and University of California, Irvine. Dr. Hartman served in the US Navy as the Dermatology Department Head at Camp Lejeune. After that, She worked in her solo Dermatology and Mohs practice in San Ramon before moving to Santa Barbara be near her family.

Wanda Sue Kim-Hayes

A board-certified Physician Assistant, Wanda has worked in dermatology in Santa Barbara, California since 2009. She was trained by Dr. Louise Stewart in dermatology for the first 8 years and after working in other private dermatology offices, she has returned to Kind Dermatology. She is a Southern California native, spent her youth in Glendale, CA and received her undergraduate B.S. degree at Westmont College. She met her husband, Mike Hayes at Westmont and together has raised three beautiful children, Justin, Amanda and Jordan, who were all raised in Santa Barbara. She attended UC Davis PA school from 2007-2009 and loves practicing as a Physician Assistant in her hometown, Santa Barbara. Her passion is walking alongside her patients as they are challenged with any skin condition. She especially enjoys working with adolescents and adults to treat acne. She also worked with Dr. Grace Sun in Pediatric Dermatology for several years and served the under-served community in Ventura County. Currently, she is completing her Diplomate Fellowship Training with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
