François Royer obtained his PhD in optics from INP Grenoble in 2004. In 2006, he became senior lecturer at Telecom Saint-Etienne and joined the LT2C lab (EA 3523, UJM). He has been the co-leader of the 3rd axis "Multi-functional surfaces" of the Labex Manutech-SISE since 2019 and the director of the doctoral school - Sciences, Engineering, Health (ED SIS 488) since 2022. He is now a Professor at Jean Monnet University and researcher at the Hubert Curien lab.

Frederic LORTIE

Frédéric Lortie obtained a MSc degree in Chemistry and Chemical Physics of Polymers (1998, University Paris-Est) and continued with a PhD in the field of supramolecular polymers (2001, University Paris-Est). He then worked as a research fellow in CEMS department (University of Minnesota, USA). He joined INSA Lyon in 2003 as Associate Professor and was promoted to a Full Professor position in 2024. His research interests are primarily focused on the design of multiphasic polymer-based materials and composites by combining self-assembly and processing strategies. Since January 2022, Frédéric Lortie has been leading the Materials Science teaching department of INSA Lyon.

Laurence Vico's research on the skeletal system encompasses the understanding of the mechanical and metabolic deconditioning occurring in extreme (spaceflight and analogs) or disuse (osteoporosis, inactivity) conditions. Such (dys)adaptations include intertwined loops leading to bone loss. Other targets are the effects of pharmaceutical and physical training strategies and their safe and efficient application to frail subjects.

Marc Sebban has been a professor of Computer Science at Jean Monnet University (UJM), Saint-Etienne, since 2002.
