Our Association is dedicated to making sure that we have a welcoming, fair, equal and safe workplace for everyone... The Municipal Employees Association (MEA) is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation organized under the Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law. MEA currently consists of two units; The Technical Services Employees (Full-Time) and Part Time Employees (Regular, Hourly and Seasonal) of the City of Beverly Hills... The Municipal Employees Association, Technical Services Unit of Beverly Hills was founded in 1995 by Greg Gomez, John Harvey, Virgia Randall and John Avila. MEA originally was associated and represented by SEIU before breaking away, as members felt the needs of the employees of the City of Beverly Hills were not adequately being represented. The MEA later advocated benefits, rights and workplace conditions for part time employees and aggregated the Part-Time Unit in July of 1997.
