Emily L. Smarto is a 1986 graduate of Fordham University, where she received her degree in Political Science. Emily received her Juris Doctorate in 1989 from Quinnipiac University School of Law, formerly known as the University of Bridgeport Law School.
Emily began her legal career as an assistant district attorney in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania where she prosecuted criminal cases until 1997, when she opened her own private practice in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Currently, Emily is a partner at Moore, Becker, Smarto & Acosta, P.C., and her areas of practice include criminal defense civil litigation, divorce, and custody. Emily is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania State Courts, the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

A 1981 Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Mr. Moore has 40 years experience as a practicing Attorney with offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He specializes in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, as well as Tax and Business Succession Planning.
Mr. Moore has written numerous articles on Estate Planning and has appeared as a consultant on a number of local radio talk shows, including WTAE radio's, "Money Talk", and WHJB radio's "On Your Money". Mr. Moore conducts educational workshops and seminars for government, business, professional and civic organizations. He has presented courses on Estate and Tax planning for the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board and the Penn State Greater Allegheny Certified Public Accountants Series. Mr. Moore is a former lecturer for the Career Development Center of Saint Vincent College, Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Estate Planning, Estates and Trusts.

John P. Smarto began practicing law in New York City in 1989 with a firm that engaged in the defense of hospitals and physicians. For over three decades, John has represented clients in Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut.
