NEW ANGLE DESIGN - Key Persons

Ruth Thompson

Ruth Thompson started New Angle design in 1999. After graduating from college with a degree in Interior Design, she took her first job as an Interior Designer in 1985, designing kitchens and baths in Atlanta. Before moving to Pittsburg in 1996 she gained immense experience working in different companies. She loves designing kitchens and baths that are unique. She tries to put a sense of Wow! into all her designs. She considers integration, aesthetics and functionality before starting any design. She takes care that the new room fits the rest of your home and your personal life style by integrating the available space in the home. Her designs match the needs and styles of the clients.. Functionality is given utmost importance in her designs. Elisabeth went to West Virginia University, graduating in 2007 with a BS in Interior Design. Seeking a completely unique experience after graduation, Elisabeth took a building apprenticeship at a design + build firm in Central PA that specialized in "green" residential construction. As an apprentice she was trained in all aspects of home construction including plastering, welding, framing, woodworking, tile setting, etc. Elisabeth and her husband moved to Pittsburgh in 2009. In Pittsburgh she held positions at interior design and architectural firms and managed a tile showroom, but it was not until she started working with Ruth Thompson at New Angle Design that she truly felt "at home" and inspired. She has been working with New Angle since 2012, and continues to learn & grow as a designer every day. In her spare time Elisabeth is renovating a home with her husband in Mt Lebanon.
