The Northern Rio Grande Corridor Collaborative is a research partnership dedicated to collectively advancing discovery and its application in the areas of climate science, water, and clean energy. The collaborative includes four Hispanic-serving research universities, one tribal college, and two national laboratories located in the energy rich and environmentally fragile arid Southwest. We enjoy deep partnerships with the communities we serve and the industry that will drive innovation into practice... Between our universities and national laboratories, we employ 15,943 scientists and engineers. In 2020, we conducted $6,601 million of research, $484 million of which was conducted in our universities. We enroll 64,453 students, 79% of whom are minorities. Last year alone, our minority serving universities produced 264 Hispanic doctoral graduates...
