Founded in 1710 in Angers, in the Loire Valley, the Orfèvrerie d'Anjou are part of a long history marked by the construction of a unique knowledge and by the culture of excellence. Pewter has been sought after since ancient times for its great decorative value and the finesse of the artistic work it allows. The discovery of the maritime route to the Land of the Angles by Carthage, then Julius Caesar's expedition through Gaul, favored the creation of domestic utensils "as beautiful as silver" throughout the Roman Empire.
