PLUM CREEK WATERSHED

Striving to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy stream for all to enjoy, the Plum Creek Watershed Partnership works to boost awareness of water resource issues and protect and restore water quality in the Plum Creek Watershed... The Plum Creek WPP is a living document, updated in 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2020 includes key recommendations for programs, projects, public outreach and best practices. Through focused local efforts, the Plan forms the backbone of efforts in the watershed and provides guidance as the Partnership moves forward to implement a variety of strategies to restore and protect water quality... The Partnership was formed in 2005 when the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and the Texas AgriLife Extension Service selected Plum Creek as a pilot for coordinated watershed planning efforts in Texas. Plum Creek was chosen based on its high E. coli bacteria levels and concerns over nutrient concentrations.
