On leaving Stoy Hayward went to work with my father to build Leroy Reid & Co a family business who specialised in audit, tax and consultancy. The business became a major success and grew from strength to strength. It lead me into a different direction which was the foundations of the modern Pizarro. Many clients employed my services to help with takeovers and mergers mainly in the Jamaican Corporate world and the main instigator was the late Hon. Oliver Clarke OJ. JP then Chairman of the Gleaner Company and Jamaica National and Lancelot Reynolds Managing Director of Jamaica National. My father was not interested in this work and Pizarro was formed to carry out this work. Fortunately, it coincided with my divorce and for the last 22 years the company has grown from strength to strength primarily in the Jamaican world and now across the Caribbean. The company has worked on takeovers and mergers in Agriculture, Media, Mining and Tourism.
