PRAIRIE VISION CENTER - Key Persons

Dr. Amanda Korth

Dr. Amanda Korth is an Iowa native originally hailing from Forest City. She left Iowa for nearly a decade for her education, initially starting at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. She then went west and attended Pacific University College of Optometry for her doctorate. During her last year, she worked in many challenging settings including IHS, VA, and the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Korth did her residency training in Primary Eye Care, with an emphasis on Low Vision and Ocular Disease, at the VA hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, before returning back to Iowa to practice. She is adamant that she stopped aging after her residency and will forever be 27. Prior to opening her practice in Bondurant in 2020, she worked in rural NE Iowa and strengthened her skills at handling anything eye related. Outside of work, Dr. Korth spends time with her husband and daughter. They're usually found chasing after her two English setters outside Colo surrounded by trees. She can also be found lecturing on all things whiskey at various locations including the Pella Opera House and Iowa Irish Fest.
