RED SEA

The country embraces the Red Sea like a funnel at the mouth of a container stretching north as far as port Sudan and as far South as Djibouti, guiding all sea fearing folk that hazard some of the busiest water ways in the globe to its legendary Habesha hospitality. This Red Sea coast is an old place still holding on to old world knowledge in a fast paced globalised world... first adapted for the region currently known as Eritrea by the Italians in 1890, the name fell out of use for the region during the various occupations to follow and was readapted and affirmed as the official name in 1991.
