STRENGTHENING FAMILIES - Key Persons

Jacqueline Johnson-Slusher grew up on the south side of Chicago near S. Woodlawn Ave & E. 63rd St in a strict Catholic household where it was a valued and essential deed to serve others. The teachings of St. Gelasius Catholic Church, St. Cyril Catholic School, and her family instilled in her the notion that we are not on this earth just for ourselves, but to help each other. Jacqueline has practiced this principle throughout her life. As she recalls, her most significant experiences were volunteering in the soup kitchen and the food pantry. Her love for others is the fuel that ignites Strengthening Families, Inc. and has allowed her to further aspirations by empowering disadvantaged families. She has always been a giver, and this is just one more way for her to share her gift of service.
