SWAYSLAND - Key Persons
Stanley R. Swaysland was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his BSCE from Case Western Reserve University (Case Institute of Technology) and performed graduate work there as well. After college, he worked for a large A/E/P from and a small structural consulting firm in Cleveland before moving to Florida in 1979. Stan worked for the next 11 years for an engineering firm specializing in condominium turnover investigations and construction defect litigation. There he learned how to identify and repair many of the construction problems experienced in South Florida buildings. Stan was determined to "build a better mouse trap", and founded his own consulting firm in 1990. Since, he has investigated problems at over a 1,000 buildings and inspected more than 10,000 balconies. Stan's technical expertise includes structural engineering, concrete restoration, roofing, painting, waterproofing, window/sliding glass door retrofits and leak detection. He is a registered Professional Engineer in FL and OH and a Special Inspector in FL. Stan possesses interpersonal skills necessary to keep complex restoration projects on track. Additionally, he is a founding member of the local International Concrete Repair Institute chapter.
