Amanda Bisset-Popma

Amanda newly joins The Broken Movement Trust in October 2023 as a Governance Trustee with a passion and commitment to serve a higher and more meaningful purpose. Having recently created her own business facilitating health, wellness and connection, Amanda brings to the Governance board a keen and strong understanding of mental health, neurodiversity and interest in diagnosis such as anxiety, depression, or bi-polar disorders.

Dr. Rob Radics

Rob is a supply chain academic, earlier supply chain professional, economist, and environmental engineer who pursued his career in the industry for 18 years and ten years in the academy in Europe, the US, and New Zealand. During his leadership and executive roles, he implemented significant changes by focusing on company culture. He applied international best practices with PwC, Accenture, McKinsey, Shell, and Dupont. In the past decades, Rob's family moved to new countries, which challenged the mental health of his family members who travelled together and the grandparents, who remained home and separated. Rob became committed to helping people who face issues from being different, bullied or neglected, or feeling failed. He is keen to help young adults with educational and career advice.

Eileen Wolland

As an experienced whānau ora practitioner with previous board experience and a substantial academic background in allied health, education and social and community development, Eileen comes to The Broken Movment Trust imparting her knowledge of Te Āo Māori, her passion to help whānau and a commitment to creating spaces for connecting and enhancing whānau wellbeing and healing. Eileen joined The Broken Movment Trust as a new Governance Trustee in October 2023.

Jacob L Skilling - CEO

, knows all too well with personal experience coming from a background of trauma, sexual abuse, and a broken home which has contributed to him having felt like a broken person sponsored by a broken system. Jacob recalls times where he struggled with addiction and learning issues - ADHD and dyslexia - but now finds himself on a better path healing and being of service to help others through his lived experience. I have walked a life of darkness and chaos; from a broken home, state-care, prisons, rehabs and other institutions I have purchased a wealth of worldly experience and the compassion required to make a difference. I have undertaken studies to provide me with a better understanding of the causes of mental illness, addictions and criminal behaviours. My desire is to utilize my combination of past experiences and training to help others in similar places to; grow, change and become successful.

Nathan Chicken

Nathan joined The Broken Movement Trust in 2022 as a Governance Trustee bringing with him an experienced hackground in Lecturing in education, financial services, business and marketing. Nathan, although currently holds the Treasury Portfolio, is a firm believer that culture, people and community are the foundations to building a strong and effective business. Nathan's interests are within the education, health and wellbeing sector, while his passion is to help people and support them to not only grow, but to also help grow others.

Nicola McGrath

When I saw the opportunity to be part of the awesomeness that is The Broken Movement Trust I was excited beyond words. I feel passionate about everything the Trust stands for - it simply feels right. My background has been working with people in times of crisis and the most powerful thing I have learnt is to listen, not to listen for a space to interrupt but to listen and actually hear. I live by the kaupapa that hurt people hurt people and believe that we can all be a positive part of everyone's journey. No judgements- just listen.

Scottie Williams - Chairman

Scottie comes to The Broken Movement Trust as a well seasoned corporate executive and astute businessman with over eighteen years of governance, strategy, business expertise, and senior management experience that he brings to the role as Chair of the Board. Having completed a postgraduate degree in business administration and specialising in Māori Development, and a range of other educational achievements, his commitment and service to the community development, healthcare, education and social services sector is not just a job for Scottie, but a passion. Scottie says: "My hope is for families and communities to have better access to services and opportunities that help them grow and change. When we're not doing that, we're merely existing and no longer living…"

Toni Bisset

Job Titles:
  • Executive Assistant
Toni plays a dual role at The Broken Movement Trust as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and Secretary to the Governance Board. Toni's role is varied and often filled ensuring that the back-end of the organisation is ticking along with what it needs to make things happen. Although no two-days are the same, Toni works in a very dynamic space of balancing the Board requirements of administration with those of the Chief Executive ensuring that ‘things get done'.
