Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe Zvataida Rural District Council was formed in 1982 according to the RDC Act (Chapter 29:13). Ump Zvataida RDC has dedicated to delivering quality services to its customers but understands that this cannot always be done in isolation. Throughout the strategic planning process District Councillors and management considered the unique nature of UMP which is wholly communal. This led to a realization that to deliver upon council's vision: "To achieve excellence in the provision of effective rural local governance by 2025", our strategic plan had to embrace new ways of working that let partners, local businesses and the public know that we are open for business. This plan has been developed taking into account the views and aspirations of our communities. It is our intention to demonstrate clear leadership, trust and innovation, manage priorities and challenges for UMP, take on challenges and make change happen for the benefit of residents, business and visitors..
