Dr. Muhammad Kamruzzaman Mozumder

Dr. Muhammad Kamruzzaman Mozumder is a highly experienced clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology at the University of Dhaka. He is also the President of the Bangladesh Clinical Psychology Society. He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Monash University in 2013, after completing his M.Phil. and M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Dhaka in 2005 and 2001, respectively. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Psychology from the same institution in 2000. With over 22 years of experience, Dr. Mozumder is proficient in various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Couple Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and counseling on psychosexual issues and narrative therapy. Dr. Mozumder is also deeply involved in facilitating training and workshops on qualitative and quantitative research methods, positive parenting, essential skills in clinical supervision, and various mental health issues. His research and consultancy work focus on gender-based violence, the LGBT population, end-line evaluations, and community-based psychosocial counseling.
