YACHT CHARTER - Key Persons

Danny Acosta - CEO

Job Titles:
  • CEO
  • Our CEO
Our CEO Danny Acosta established this gratifying vessel management company in 2006 after years of being a Captain and managing several Yachts. Danny's knowledge and expertise about vessels comes not only from being a captain, but also from his hands on experiences in the yachting industry. Miami native Danny Acosta is the CEO of Acosta Yacht Group. Known as a savvy straight-shooter, he's developed the reputation as someone who has seen everything and tells it like it is. If the best indicator of future behavior is pact behavior, Danny was destined for life on the water. As a boy, he spent his time in dogged pursuit of water sports. His family spent as much time on their boat as possible. Of those days, he says, he learned as much about boating from the family's many happy trips as from their many hilarious disasters. By age 12, Danny was cleaning boat bottoms for pocket money. He worked through college as a mechanic, making deliveries for extra income. Of all the vessels he has owned, maintained, or managed since those days, his first boat-a 24' Seabird-was his most important classroom, he says. With ownership, comes responsibility. Whatever he didn't already know by then, he leaned on that old Seabird. Danny received his Bachelor of Finance degree at Florida International University, boating on the weekends and, upon graduation, applied for his first professional position as captain on a fishing boat. The rest, as they say, is history. Founded in 2006, Acosta Yacht Group is the culmination of Danny's love for the water, his passion for boats, and his years in the marine industry. Authentic customer service and quality control are the two values worth preserving, and customer referrals are its largest source of business, for good reason. In his free time, Danny is still very much drawn to the oceans of beautiful South Florida. You may find him SCUBA diving, wake-boarding, water skiing, fishing and, of course, boating as often as possible.
