Chad Noteboom

Job Titles:

Founder of the Noteboom Brewing Project and head Cider Maker at LGC. Chad has been an avid brewer and a student of fermentation for many years. When he doesn't have something brewing he is busy sharing his love of learning and teaching science.

David Price

David manages our ever evolving store on the Farm. He has excellent customer service skills, makes a mad cheese board, and loves a good spreadsheet. He has a background in food service and retail management. He loves spending time cooking, hiking, gardening, and playing video games with his wife and two sons. He studied English and History at UNCG. He and is an avid reader with interests in science, poetry, and classical history.

Erin Carpin

Also known as "The Beast" or Little E. She knows how to get things done. She keeps production of everything on track and is our pickler and packager. Erin has done just about everything from Scuba Diving Instructor to Paralegal to Production Baker in her past life. When she isn't busy working circles around everyone, she loves to garden, make Pate a Choux, sip bourbon, and play with her dog Bobby Charley.

Faith Owensby

Faith is our support staff in the Farm Store and our official ice cream scooper. She is learning the ropes of service and specialty cheese in one of her first official jobs. However, she is no stranger to hard work. She is an entrepreneur herself and has a side business breeding and raising fish for pet stores.

Handy Andy

Handy Andy fixes everything that breaks on the farm, milks cows, helps with cheese makes and is head of sales and distribution. He left his career as an Audiologist to become a dairy farmer. Maybe not the wisest career choice but one he has come to love. Andy is Co-founder and patriarch of the family and the business. He enjoys a round of Frisbee Golf, ball golf, or any kind of golf when he has time which is pretty much never.

Jennifer Perkins - Founder

Co-founder and Cheesemaker, Jen has worked with cow, goat, and sheep milk in the vat and managed those animals on the farm. Her love of working with animals brought her to the business and cheesemaking helped her stay. Her experience includes 20 years in the industry including a stint at Blackberry Farm milking sheep and making cheese. When she isn't in the cheeseroom, she loves to ride her draft horse on the beautiful trails of Polk County.

Max Perkins

Max is a little older than Looking Glass Creamery. He grew up amongst the chaos of cheesemaking, farming, and starting this business. He started at NC State in the CALS program in Agricultural Engineering in fall of 22. When he is back on his school breaks he'll be helping out on the milking crew, in the cheese room, and on the farm. When he isn't working, he likes to explore waterfalls, play guitar and basketball, and hang out with friends

Roni Davis

Roni visited Looking Glass Creamery at the 2022 Foothills Farm Tour. A former denizen of the Asheville area she moved a little bit south and now works a few hours a week helping out with preserves and pickles as well as working in the garden around the Farm Store and the demonstration garden by the goat area. An animal lover, she has her own small farm with a jersey cow, a few horses, chickens, a dog and a couple cats.

Steve DeRouen

Steve, born in Louisiana but raised in the sunshine state of Florida, knows his way around a kitchen. He's done everything here but his focus is on cheesemaking, cellar duty, milking, and getting our cheese to market. He has a calm approach to everything which is good for the cows and good for the cheese. Steve is also an AT thru hiker and when he isn't working he is an avid outdoorsman and an artist in many mediums.
