Jodi Jett is a board-certified physician assistant and is available to serve the patients at Psychiatry Unplugged. Visit our professional today. For more information, please call us or request an appointment online. Jodi Jett is a board-certified physician assistant with over twenty years of experience who is passionate about providing quality, compassionate and cutting-edge mental health care. After graduating with honors from Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY, Jodi worked as a primary care provider in underserved communities throughout New York City. After struggling with her own mental illness, Jett decided to pursue the specialty of psychiatry in order to help those like her who suffered with PTSD, addiction and mental illness. Becoming a Trauma Recovery Coach was her first step, as she spent 2020 and 2021 providing trauma recovery coaching to people with histories of various types of trauma, specializing in childhood trauma. "It took me so long to find the right combination of therapy and medication. I realized that there isn't a ‘one size fits all' when it comes to mental health and I knew I had to work at trying to make the journey a little easier for others who struggle like I did." In 2022 she found herself ready to combine her medical career with her trauma recovery coaching and began working at Psychiatry Unplugged where she now provides compassionate psychiatric care and therapy. She has since earned a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy in order to help patients heal trauma from a holistic and body based approach. When Jodi is not working she likes to sing, work on an art project (she just published an illustrated book about childhood trauma and mental illness), swim in the ocean or play with her adopted chihuahua, Frita.
