Alberto Estrada is a Ph.D. candidate at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University Rotterdam; he holds an MA in Public Policy from the University of Guadalajara and a second MA in International Development from the University of Essex.
He focused his research on the governance and political economy of migration and development, (Im)mobility, and regional integration, mainly in Latin America.

I joined the student board to take responsibility for my education and give back to the program. Arne van Lienden is a Ph.D. candidate and lecturer at the Erasmus Research Centre for Media, Communication, and Culture. His research focuses on the content and production of discourses surrounding race/ethnicity in Polish televised football and the audience's reception of these discourses. Arne's research is part of the NWO-funded research project How racist is televised football and do audiences react?

Bouchra Dibi is the strategic program manager of Ownership, Inclusion, and Democracy for the National program Samen Nieuw-West in Amsterdam. She is also the founder of Krachtwijken. Bouchra has dedicated her career to promoting equal opportunities, working in community development and municipal politics, serving as an ombudswoman, and through her own foundation, Krachtwijken.
Carmen Longas Luque is a Ph.D. candidate at the Erasmus School of History, Culture, and Communication (ESHCC), Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research focuses on the construction of race/ethnicity through football media, more specifically, she tries to understand how discourses about race/ethnicity come about in football talk, focusing on the production, content, and reception processes. Her research focuses on the context of Spain but forms part of a broader project at the European level. Her research interests lie in issues related to inclusion/exclusion processes, inequalities, and discrimination. Furthermore, she is a teacher at the International Bachelor of Communication and Media (IBCOM) at the ESHCC.

He has held various positions at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has worked as a country director in various countries, for Hivos, Plan International and War Child Holland.

Mandy Koenraads has completed a postgraduate MSc (Research) in International Development Studies (with a specialization in Peacebuilding and Education) at the University of Amsterdam. Prior to her Master's degree in research, she completed an undergraduate BSc (Honours) in Public Administration from the University of Leiden. Throughout her academic career, she followed an exchange programme in South Africa and has conducted independent research in Sri Lanka. After working in the field of education for 2.5 years, her role as the coordinator of the Scriptiewerkplaats Den Haag Zuid-West is to develop this crossover initiative between research, policy, and practice. Mandy is based at University Leiden, Campus the Hague, FGGA in close collaboration with ISS the Hague.

Mark M.A.C. van Ostaijen is an Assistant Professor affiliated to the Department of Public Administration and Sociology (DPAS/ ESSB) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He works as Managing Director of the LDE Centre Governance of Migration and DiversityOpent extern and is participating in the European University of Post-Industrial CitiesOpent extern.
In his previous research project at Tilburg University, SmartUrbIOpent extern, he conducted etnographic fieldwork on how 'smart urban intermediaries' make a difference in neighborhoods of Amsterdam, Glasgow, Birmingham and Copenhagen. Before he started at Tilburg University, Mark worked as lecturer and PhD candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and at the Netherlands School of Public Administration (NSOB).
In 2013 (together with prof. dr. Godfried Engbersen and prof. dr. Peter Scholten) he received a NWO Urban Europe Research Grant on the research project ‘IMAGINATION' which resulted in his PhD dissertation 'Worlds between words'Opent extern, awarded as ‘Best PhD thesis' by the Erasmus Graduate School.
During his PhD research, he was one of the founders and chairman of the IMISCOE PhD network, an Organizing Committee Member of the Interpretive Policy Analysis (IPA) conference in Leicester (UK) and a visiting doctoral research fellow at De Montfort University (UK).
Recently, he published a Dutch book ‘Wij zijn ons.
