Originally founded in 1977, the company 479645 Alberta Ltd. was the administrative entity behind Westcan, one of the leading two-way radio dealers in Western Canada. Over the nearly four decades since the company's inception, several leading industrial communications brands have been added to the corporate family. The exponential growth of these brands has fueled a rebrand of the numbered parent company to Helix Advanced Communications + Infrastructure, or Helix ACI for short.
