González Casares

González Casares have been part of the European Parliament Delegation that participated in the 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25). Currently he is working as Socialist rapporteur for the ITRE opinion on the Methane strategy. Heidi Larson

Heidi J. Larson, PhD, is Professor of Anthropology, Risk and Decision Science and is the Founding Director of the Vaccine Confidence Project at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is also Clinical Professor of Health Metrics Sciences, University of Washington, Seattle, USA, and Guest Professor at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Dr. Larson previously headed Global Immunisation Communication at UNICEF, chaired GAVI's Advocacy Task Force, and served on the WHO SAGE Working Group on vaccine hesitancy. The VCP is a WHO Centre of Excellence on addressing Vaccine Hesitancy. Professor Larson's research focuses on the analysis of social and political factors that can affect uptake of health interventions and influence policies. Her particular interest is on risk and rumour management from clinical trials to delivery - and building public trust. She served on the FDA Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Emergency Communication Expert Working Group, and is currently Principal Investigator for a global study on acceptance of vaccination during pregnancy; an EU-funded (EBODAC) project on the deployment, acceptance and compliance of an Ebola vaccine trial in Sierra Leone; and a global study on Public Sentiments and Emotions Around Current and Potential Measures to Contain and Treat COVID-19. She is author of STUCK: How Vaccine Rumors Start - and Why They Don't Go Away (Oxford U Press, 2020)

Jennie Jackson

Jennie is a nurse who has specialised in cancer care in general and haematology specifically. However, in the last six years, she has shifted her focus from clinical care to devoting her time to the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) Stockholm Gotland. RCC is one of six regional centres in Sweden serving as a knowledge hub around all cancer related matters. The work is directed by the Swedish government following the National Cancer Strategy, and ranges from primary cancer prevention to survivorship and palliative care. With empirical evidence pointing to increasing incidence of cancer, RCC have been assigned (in collaboration with other stakeholders) to take stronger actions towards cancer prevention. Jennie is involved in many different projects and work groups related to all parts of the cancer trajectory. Since 2020 she has been the project manager for Levla, an initiative to educate and inspire school professionals and children about healthy lifestyle choices related to cancer prevention. Within this initiative, the RCC offers a nationwide online course for school nurses where one module is devoted to HPV. This module addresses several HPV related topics, including vaccine hesitation. Swedish school nurses play a pivotal role in promoting healthy habits and they are also responsible for executing the HPV vaccination programme for boys and girls in 5 th grade. Jennie is also a member of the Regional work group dedicated to the European campaign PrEvCan and a member of the National work group for Cancer prevention.

Margaret Stanley

Margaret Stanley is Professor Emerita of Epithelial Biology, Affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge, Honorary Fellow of Christs College, Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Honorary Fellow of the UK Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Honorary Consultant Cambridge University Hospitals Trust. She has a lifetime award from the American Society for Colposcopy and Cytopathology (ASCCP) and International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS), was a member of the UK Biology and Biotechnology Science Research Council (BBSRC), a member of the Spongiform Encephalopathies Advisory Committee (SEAC) that advised the UK government on prion diseases. In 2004 she was awarded the OBE for services to Virology. She is a member of the Expert Groups advising on HPV vaccines for WHO SAGE, acted as the invited HPV expert for the HPV subcommittee of the UK Joint Committee on Vaccines and Immunisation (JCVI), invited expert on HPV vaccines for the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC) is a member of the HPV vaccines advisors group for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and co-chair of the HPV Action Network of the European Cancer Organisation. She was the President of the International Papillomavirus Society 2018-2021 and the recipient of the Hilleman Award for outstanding contribution to HPV vaccine development, implementation and advocacy.
