MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION

The Management Employees Association (MEA) was formed in 1976 to represent the interest of the non-exempt managers for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. MEA is recognized by the City of Los Angeles as a collective bargaining entity for non-exempt managers; however, we are not a union in the conventional sense because we do not strike. Instead, as managers we maintain and perform essential Department functions and services for the residents of the City of Los Angeles... Adding strategic value through utilization of essential management practices while working in unity with the executive management of the Department of Water and Power to deliver quality utility services to the residents of the City of Los Angeles... MEA members have confidence in our ability to strategize their career by utilizing our best practices.
