Dr. Shenelle N. Wilson

Dr. Shenelle N. Wilson is a urologist in Kennesaw, GA who provides reconstructive surgery for individuals of all backgrounds with a wide range of pelvic health concerns. As an extensively trained and well-educated medical professional, she received the Young Urologist of the Year Award from the American Urological Association where she has been a member since 2013. Dr. Wilson has a special interest in diagnosing and treating pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder, and sexual dysfunction in both men and women. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she takes great pride in providing exceptional patient-centered care as she works one-on-one with individuals to address their unique needs. Dr. Wilson has a passion for increasing diversity in urology, and as a result, she founded the nonprofit organization Urology Unbound, which focuses on the recruitment, retention, and promotion of Black urologists.

Lavona C. Wilson is a trusted nurse practitioner at Metro Atlanta Urology and Pelvic Health Center. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling her to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. As an ambitious nurse practitioner and registered nurse, she has experience in ICU, ER, family practice/internal medicine, and urgent care. With her precise attention to detail and strong clinical knowledge, she is highly qualified to treat individuals of all ages with a multitude of needs and concerns. Lavona specializes in performing pelvic exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment for gynecology conditions to boost women's health. She is dedicated to providing first-class care for all of the patients she meets. Lavona C. Wilson graduated from Bowie University with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1999. During this time, she worked as a charge nurse in the ICU and ER for nine years at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Afterward, she took additional jobs in Florida and Georgia as a registered nurse until she decided to expand her education by obtaining a Master of Science from Emory University in 2012. Following this achievement, Lavona became a nurse practitioner at an urgent care center and later on, at two family practices. Combined, she has more than 20 years of experience in the medical field.
