Dr. Mark Muscat is the firm's founding and managing partner. With over twenty years of experience in different areas inter alias in the financial services and employment and industrial relations, he is a highly competent professional lawyer. His educational background is quite extensive and admirable, him having achieved: the Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Malta; Diploma of Legal Procurator from the University of Malta; Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation from the Malta Institute of Taxation; Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta; Besides being an associate member of the Malta Institute of Taxation, Dr Muscat is in possession of a Warrant to practice law in Malta and also holds a Warrant as a Commissioner for Oaths; Furthermore, he holds a Certificate for Financial Advisors from the Institute of Financial Services, an International Certificate for Financial Advisors from the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Management from Malta's Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
His work experience is also very comprehensive as he previously occupied the position of Private Clients Manager and Executive Premier Manager at HSBC, one of the world's leading global banks. This experience vested him with a great wealth of knowledge about the financial services industry. Furthermore, he also worked as a business development and industrial relations consultant with KSi Malta, which is one of the leading audit firms in the island of Malta.
At the moment, Dr. Mark Muscat is the incumbent President of the Independent Bankers Union. He previously held positions in other various committees and councils, which include the Confederation of Malta Trade Unions, of which he was an Executive Council member and the Chairmanship of the HSBC Malta Union of Bank Employees group committee.
