Kristin MacDermott

Kristin, a licensed marriage and family therapist, has spent over 15 years studying and teaching resilience. Her resilience training programs have been validated in four studies (including two randomized-controlled trials) with researchers from the Duke Clinical Research Institute, published in peer-reviewed journals, and proven to promote clinically significant improvement in key wellness and resilience outcomes, including distress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-efficacy. She has designed training programs for some of the highest performing people on the planet, including Naval Special Warfare Command (Navy SEALs) and the Los Angeles Police Department. Along with programs used in hospitals across the country, in the Duke Cancer Institute, the NIH and others, she has created programs for college, high school, and middle school students. She divides her time now between a private practice and corporate consulting, bringing resilience to leaders and teams. Kristin is a licensed professional counselor trained in marriage and family therapy. Her passion to help people overcome the emotional and psychological effects of cancer led her to co-found Pathfinders in 2004 to provide low or no-cost counseling and volunteer support for families in the Roaring Fork Valley. That same passion led her to found Reimagine (www.reimagine.me) in 2012, a Los Angeles-based company that helps families across the country reimagine cancer by teaching a proven curriculum of resiliency skills in live, online classes. Kristin holds degrees from Duke and Antioch Universities, and was trained in mind-body medicine at the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, D.C. and at Harvard Medical School.

Preston Fox

Preston is an attorney and CPA, with his focus on tax planning, entity formation, transactional work, real estate, estate planning, business management and non-profit work. Preston advises numerous non-profit organizations and sits on the boards of Pathfinders and Achieve KidsTri, a program to educate and train disadvantaged youth in health, nutrition and exercise. In his spare time, Preston enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and son Brody, as well as skiing, hiking and mountain biking.

Tina Staley

Tina Staley is a licensed clinical social worker, an author, and gifted communicator who has dedicated her life to creating a more kind, caring and productive world. For 30 years, she has had the privilege of counseling individuals facing challenging life situations, including those facing end of life, a cancer diagnosis, mental health challenges or dealing with life stressors and transitions.
