PETER BROOKS OPTOMETRIST - Key Persons

Claire joined us as an optometrist in 2003 after qualifying in 2000. Since then, she has gained further qualifications and is now an Independent Prescribing (IP) Optometrist. Claire works alongside Laura as a designated optometrist within the Lothian Eyecare Service for Special Schools. She has also worked at the local eye hospital as a paediatric optometrist and in the glaucoma clinic. Claire has recently been accepted to join the new local glaucoma shared care scheme.

Hannah joined us in 2019 having qualified fully as an optometrist in 2013. She hopes to begin working towards her Independent Prescribing (IP) qualification soon. We are thrilled to have Hannah as a member of our team.

Peter's daughter Laura joined the practice as a fully qualified optometrist in 1999 and now also manages both practices. She participated in many shared care schemes and has worked at the local eye hospital as a paediatric optometrist. Laura is now a qualified Independent Prescribing (IP) Optometrist and is a designated optometrist within the Lothian Eyecare Service for Special Schools, based at Saltersgate School. Laura has recently been accepted to join the new local glaucoma shared care scheme.

Patricia qualified fully in 1999 and holds an additional qualification as an Independent Prescribing (IP) Optometrist. She joined us as a frequent locum optometrist in 2015.
