A MAT

A MAT plays a number of roles in the life of an academy, setting its direction, working with the leadership team to ensure that it provides the best learning environment for the students, and leading the Governing Body. The MAT is responsible for fostering progress in all areas of the academy's operation, promoting value for money and good use of public funds, and championing the academy in the wider community.

Daniel Woodruffe

Daniel works mainly in the voluntary sector, in primary education both in Westminster and Lambeth. He is on the steering group of a free school for secondary students diagnosed with an autism-spectrum condition. Daniel's two sons attended Pimlico Academy. Joe Francis

Joe is musician and teacher who has taught music at Pimlico Academy for nearly twenty years. In addition to being heavily involved in the musical life of the school over the years, he is also works as a professional saxophonist and is a trustee of a small, voluntarily run outdoor education charity, Forest School Camps. Lady Caroline Nash

Lady Caroline Nash is a co-founder and trustee of the Future Charity. Caroline is the founder of Pimlico Primary and has been the driving force behind the Trust's knowledge-rich approach. As the Director of the Curriculum Centre, Caroline has personally written the British History, Ancient History and Geography KS2 curricula as well as advising on all other aspects of curriculum development. She read Modern History at the University of Bristol. Caroline is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee. Lord John Nash

He read Law at the University of Oxford, was a venture capitalist for 30 years, and was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Schools between 2013 and 2017.
