Amanda Kwong is the Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) Director at the de Beaumont Foundation. As PHCC's Director, Amanda manages the development of timely, relevant, and practical tools for public health communicators across the country to use. Through these communication tools and learning opportunities, PHCC helps health professionals communicate more effectively to ensure that everyone has what they need to make informed decisions about their health.
Previously, Amanda was a Campaign Director at the Ad Council, where she spent almost six years overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of fully integrated multimedia communication programs on behalf of national non-profit organizations and federal government agencies. These communication programs spanned from helping pre-care partners recognize the early warning signs of Alzheimer's in their loved ones, to encouraging Americans that "Only You" can prevent wildfires by leveraging the trusted voice of Smokey Bear. In 2021, she supported the creative and digital development of the Ad Council's largest PSA campaign in history for the COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative, "It's Up To You."
Amanda holds an MPH from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in Psychology from Syracuse University. It is through Amanda's unique background in advertising, social impact, and public health where her deep interest in effective public health communications continues to grow.

Ariel C. Moyer, MS, joined the de Beaumont Foundation as chief operating officer in June 2011. She is responsible for overseeing operations of the organization including board management and development; financial, legal and investment activities; office administration and human resources; and communications activities. She also works with the board of directors and senior leadership to oversee the strategic design and tactical implementation of program initiatives.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Ariel was a member of the senior leadership team at the National Children's Museum, where she was responsible for the communications, membership, and web departments. She developed and oversaw the implementation of comprehensive communications and marketing plans and was responsible for the creation of the museum's brand and identity. She was also an active member of the museum's executive fundraising team, creating the case statement package and writing, designing, and editing fundraising proposals and presentations to support the organization's $182 million capital campaign. In addition to her public relations and development work, Ariel was instrumental in a number of management initiatives at the museum: She led the creation of the project's three-year, $130 million capital budget, worked closely with executive leadership to create the museum's business plan, and developed a new annual evaluation process for all employees.
Prior to joining the National Children's Museum, Ariel was with the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, where she managed all media relations and marketing activities for the association and provided communications counsel to more than 120 foundations and corporate giving programs. She began her career in the private sector, working on a variety of public awareness campaigns and corporate social responsibility programs-first at Widmeyer Communications and later at Cone, LLC.
Ariel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Oberlin College and a Master of Science degree in nonprofit management from the University of Maryland.
Bethany Kuerten, MSc-GH, is a senior program associate at the de Beaumont Foundation. She works on various projects within the CEO's office as well as the Modernized Anti-Racist Data Ecosystems (MADE) for Health Justice Grant and the Innovative, Multi-sector Partnerships for Community Transformation (IMPACT) in Public Health project.
Prior to joining the de Beaumont Foundation, Bethany was an implementation specialist at Family Connects International where she managed multiple contracts to bring post-partum nurse home visitation to communities across the country. In this role, she focused on connecting parents of newborns to community resources to support infant success and overall family health. She has extensive experience in evidence-based programming, maternal health practices, and equitable community alignment. Bethany began her career in the research sector at FHI360, focusing on the development and pilot of novel contraceptive devices for women without access in international settings. While she was there, she supported data collection and evaluation, grant writing, and clinical trial development.
Bethany earned her Master of Science in Global Health (with a Public Policy certificate) from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science from Birmingham-Southern College.

Brian C. Castrucci, DrPH, is the president and chief executive officer of the de Beaumont Foundation. He is an epidemiologist, public health practitioner, and fierce advocate for the public's health.
Brian joined de Beaumont as its third employee in 2012 and assumed the role of president and chief executive officer in 2018. Under his leadership, with the support of a dedicated team, the foundation has grown in both size and impact, becoming a prominent voice in health philanthropy and public health practice and driving transformative change to improve population health across the nation.
Brian's strategic vision emphasizes collaboration between public health and various sectors, effective communication, and the enhancement of the nation's public health infrastructure. His efforts have led to the development of the nation's largest survey of the government public health workforce, the advancement of policies in major cities, the formation of business-public health partnerships, improvements in public health communication, and the strengthening of connections between clinical medicine and public health. He is also focused on building local health data ecosystems that prioritize health justice.
Brian has published widely in the lay press, including in The Washington Post, CNN, The Hill, STAT, The Daily Beast, and CNBC and has shared his insights through interviews with The New York Times, the Associated Press, Politico, MSNBC, NPR, BBC, and Fox News, among others. He is a regular contributor to Forbes.com. Brian was also prominently featured in the documentary series The Invisible Shield and was the co-executive producer of the award-winning documentary Outbreak: The First Response.
In addition to his practice experience, Brian is a seasoned public health researcher with expertise in public health systems and services, tobacco control and drug use, maternal and child health, health promotion, and chronic disease prevention. His recent research has concentrated on urban public health needs, data system improvements, and public health infrastructure advancements. He has authored nearly 100 scientific articles, which have been cited over 4,000 times, and has co-edited eight books.
Prior to joining de Beaumont, Brian spent a decade as an applied epidemiologist and held leadership positions at the Georgia Department of Health, Texas Department of State Health Services, and Philadelphia Department of Health. During his time in government services, he led programs including the Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant, Title X Family Planning program, and Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children.
Brian holds a doctorate in public health leadership from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts degree in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University, where he delivered the 2023 commencement address for the Mailman School of Public Health and received the school's Visionary Leadership Award. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science with the greatest distinction from North Carolina State University.

Mr. O'Brien is chairman and CEO of Port Capital LLC, an investment management firm based in Chicago. He has spent the majority of his career building and leading investment management firms. Prior to establishing Port Capital, Mr. O'Brien co-founded and served as chairman and CEO of Advisory Research Inc., an investment management firm operating across global markets. Under his leadership, it became one of the leading value investment management firms in the country.
In addition to his work with the de Beaumont Foundation, Mr. O'Brien is the chair of the Board of Trustees at University of Chicago Medicine and serves as a trustee of the University of Chicago. He is a member of the board of the National Parks Foundation and president of the Board of Trustees of the Sheriffs Meadow Foundation, an accredited land trust based in Martha's Vineyard, Mass. Mr. O'Brien graduated with honors from Boston College with a BS in finance and theology.

Brittany Giles-Cantrell, MPH, is a Program Director at the de Beaumont Foundation, where she leads a portfolio of partnerships and programs to strengthen investments in public health systems, policies, and practices that center health and racial equity.
Prior to joining the de Beaumont Foundation, Brittany served as a Senior Program Manager in Kaiser Permanente's Community Health Department, where she held both national and regional roles to catalyze partnerships and investments in the health and well-being of communities experiencing inequities and injustice. As an experienced grantmaker, Brittany also led multi-sector philanthropic partnerships and community engagement strategies to advance access to health care and social health interventions across the Mid-Atlantic region. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Brittany held roles as a graduate student fellow at PolicyLink and worked at the National Academy for State Health Policy providing research and analysis on state health care reform issues.

Ms. Hutchins is principal and founder of Communications, Ink, a full-service marketing company based in Beverly, Mass. She is a hands-on entrepreneur who builds brands by creating links between people and experiences. Ms. Hutchins is a frequent lecturer on branding, and her work has been awarded numerous Hermes, Davey, Marcomm, and Association of Graphic Communications awards. Prior to founding her own company, she worked as the advertising manager at State Street Bank & Trust Company, director of Investor Relations at Presidio Oil Company, and a mortgage trader at Salomon Brothers.
She has an AB from Vassar College and an MBA from Babson College. She lives in Prides Crossing with her family and incorrigible dog.

A financial services and sales professional for nearly two decades, Ms. Massoni began her career at Bank of New England as a Senior Credit Analyst and later became a Corporate Officer for the Small Business Division of Bank of Boston. She went on to serve as the Business Contacts Manager at Putnam Investments, where she created and implemented a firm-wide sales networking program that directly impacted the growth and profitability of the firm's Institutional Management Division. Ms. Massoni was also with Fidelity Capital, where she marketed the products of two of the Fidelity Capital companies. She has served on a number of nonprofit boards, including the Lyric Stage Company of Boston, Boston Modern Orchestral Project, Burke Mountain Academy, and the Robbins-de Beaumont Foundation. Ms. Massoni joined the board of the de Beaumont Foundation in 2003 and is the step-granddaughter of the founding donor, Pierre S. de Beaumont.
She holds a BA in economics from New England College, where she was a member of the three-time NCAA Division 1 Champion Alpine Ski team. She is an accomplished skier, golfer, and paragliding pilot.

Cassandra Allen, MPH, is a Senior Program Associate at the de Beaumont Foundation. In this role she works on various projects across the program and workforce portfolio from advancing the public health workforce through the National Consortium for Public Health Workforce Development to addressing racial injustice and health inequities that affect communities through the Modernized Anti-Racist Data Ecosystems (MADE) for Health Justice grant.
Prior to joining the de Beaumont Foundation, Cassandra worked as a health planner and data coordinator for the Health Council of West Central Florida. Conducting health needs assessments, supporting community-based initiatives, and facilitating data analysis for public and private sectors. She has experience with a wide range of health subject areas including food insecurity, health equity, environmental health, and more. Her experiences in health IT, nutrition education, community planning, and cultural programming have culminated in a passion to bridge together unlikely stakeholders to improve community health through intersectional approaches. Cassandra also volunteers her time with the Black Health Commission a non-profit dedicated to reframing the narrative of health disparities.
Cassandra earned her Master of Public Health in Health Promotion from the Milken Institute of Public Health at George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Central Florida.

Christine Kudrav James is the senior director of finance and operations at the de Beaumont Foundation, where she is responsible for managing the Foundation's administrative operations and accounting, finance, and budgeting systems. She also plays a key role in driving infrastructure and business processes to improve efficiency and meet strategic objectives.
Previously, Christine worked as a philanthropic advisor at Geller & Company and a grants manager at The Wallace Foundation. In both roles, she facilitated the planning and implementation of burgeoning grant operations teams and provided guidance on a broad range of philanthropic issues, including private foundation best practice, donor-advised funds, political donations, personal charitable giving, tax and regulatory restrictions, governance matters, and strategic grantmaking.
Christine began her career in the nonprofit sector as a project coordinator at the Safe Horizon Domestic Violence Law Project and as a grant writer at The Cooper Union. Both experiences cultivated a deep appreciation and respect for the grantee partners she works with today.
Christine received a Masters of Public Administration from Baruch College and a bachelor's in Hispanic studies from the College of William and Mary.

Clarion E. Johnson is the former global medical director of the Medicine and Occupational Health Department for ExxonMobil Corporation. The department delivers services to more than 88,000 ExxonMobil and affiliate employees worldwide. In addition to traditional work-related health services, the department delivers travel medicine to the many ExxonMobil employees who are engaged in exploration and production in a number of challenging environments in Africa, the CIS, China, and Southeast Asia.
Dr. Johnson is co-chair of the Planning Committee for the Forum on Public-Private Partnerships for Global Health and Safety at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. He has been a long time member of the Milbank Memorial Fund Board of Directors and has published numerous articles in various fields. Dr. Johnson is the 2012 recipient of the Society of Petroleum Engineers' Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Social Responsibility Award.

For almost 30 years, Dr. Cabot practiced clinical surgery in an academic setting, which included teaching and administrative duties, as well as medical and scientific research. He was a member of the Department of Surgery at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where he also served on the Admissions Committee of Harvard Medical School. In June 2000, Dr. Cabot resigned from his clinical practice in order to serve as a managing director of his family's office for financial management and philanthropy, Cabot Wellington, LLC. He served on a number of nonprofit boards, including the Handel and Haydn Society, the Cantata Singers, the Committee on University Resources at Harvard, the Boston Museum of Science, the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, the Trustees of Reservations, Sailors for the Sea, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and the Sea Education Association.
On Sept.1, 2012, Dr. Cabot lost his life in a tragic sailing accident. He was traveling on the last leg of a journey that he and his friends had been making for the previous seven summers, which brought them from Nova Scotia to Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, and the coast of Norway. It is with great sadness and heartfelt sympathy for his family that that we honor his years of service to the Foundation.

Emma Dewhurst, MPP, is a Program and Research Associate at the de Beaumont Foundation. At the Foundation, her work focuses on an array of evaluation, research, and program efforts, including supporting work in the communications and partnerships portfolios. Emma also leads the public opinion research at the Foundation and further supports research through her work on the Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC).
Emma earned her MPP with a concentration in program evaluation and policy analysis from the George Washington University Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration. While in graduate school, Emma worked as a Senior Research Assistant for the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity, where she worked primarily on healthcare workforce well-being and reproductive health workforce initiatives. While at Mullan Institute, Emma also served as a Project Coordinator for the Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Technical Assistance Center, a program focused on mitigating the drivers and effects of burnout and moral injury among the health and public safety workforce. Here, Emma supported the creation of a new national framework for addressing burnout and moral injury in the health and public safety workforce. Before moving to the DC area, Emma was a program coordinator and case manager for a social services and workforce development nonprofit in Cincinnati, Ohio. Emma holds a BA in political science and a minor in economics from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Wagner is Senior Advisor to the Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and an adjunct professor at the Harvard School of Public Health. Throughout his career, he has provided organizational leadership at the juncture between scientific research and public health policy, both nationally and internationally. At Harvard, he teaches about the science behind occupational and environmental policies and regulations and serves on the dean's committee to transform doctoral training for public health leaders. He has provided scientific, strategic, and policy leadership in various capacities at CDC/NIOSH and the U.S. Department of Labor for more than 25 years. He has also worked extensively with the World Health Organization and International Labour Organization on the Global Program to Eliminate Pneumoconioses (dust diseases of the lung) and other disease prevention activities.
A graduate of Harvard College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he is board-certified in internal medicine and public (occupational) health and has practiced primary care medicine in both rural and urban settings. The American Public Health Association recognized Dr. Wagner's lifetime contributions by awarding him the Alice Hamilton Award in 2012.

Imani Lewis Glasspiegel is a senior associate in digital marketing at the de Beaumont Foundation, where she is responsible for providing strategic direction for the foundation's digital channels. Imani has nearly 10 years of experience working in the digital marketing space.
Throughout her career, Imani has served in many roles in the digital marketing, from content creator and community manager to paid advertising strategist and project manager. Organizations that she's worked for include Beekeeper Group, AAUW, 2U and Edge Direct.
Imani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Jamila M. Porter, DrPH, MPH is the Chief of Staff at the de Beaumont Foundation. She serves as strategic advisor to the President & CEO, works across teams to drive results throughout the Foundation, and ensures that equity and justice are organizational priorities. Jamila is also the Principal Investigator of Modernized Anti-Racist Data Ecosystems (MADE) for Health Justice - an initiative accelerating the development of health-focused local data ecosystems that center principles of anti-racism, equity, justice, and community power.
An award-winning researcher and experienced executive, Jamila's work focuses on transforming the interconnected social, environmental, and power structures that impact health. She is an outspoken leader and public speaker on a range of issues, including the social determinants of equity, transportation justice, multi-sector collaboration, policy evaluation, community power-building, and public health practice. She has published articles in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Public Health, Health Equity, Journal of MultiDisciplinary Evaluation, Journal of Public Health Management and Practice, and Journal of Transport and Land Use.
Previously, Jamila was Director of Resilient Communities with the Big Cities Health Coalition (BCHC). There, she led BCHC's efforts to build healthy, resilient, and vibrant communities across our nation's largest cities by utilizing her expertise in racial justice, violence prevention, and policy. Prior to joining BCHC, Jamila was Director of Programs and Evaluation at the Safe States Alliance, a national professional association dedicated to strengthening the practice of injury and violence prevention. At the Safe States Alliance, she led the association's program, policy, and evaluation initiatives, including providing technical assistance and training to multi-sector organizations and practitioners at local, state, and national levels. Jamila has also previously worked in the consulting and international development sectors.
Jamila earned her bachelor's degree in Communication and Health Policy and Administration from Wake Forest University. She earned her Master of Public Health degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and her Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of Georgia College of Public Health.

Jessica Malaty Rivera is an infectious disease epidemiologist internationally recognized and science communicator. She has dedicated the last 15 years of her career to emerging infectious disease surveillance, public health policy, and vaccine advocacy. Her specialty is in translating complex scientific concepts into impactful, judgement-free, and accessible information for a diverse audience. From 2020-2021, she served as the Science Communication Lead for The COVID Tracking Project at The Atlantic. In 2021, Jessica was named one of the "World's 50 Greatest Leaders" by Fortune Magazine for her work on COVID-19 research and data communication and in 2022, Jessica was named of the Top 50 Leaders in Digital Health by Rock Health.
Currently, she is a Research Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator, a Researcher at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security, and a Senior Science Communication Advisor at the deBeaumont Foundation. In between her day jobs and being a full time mother to three little kids, she also dedicates several hours a week to promoting science literacy and debunking misinformation on social media.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. She earned her Master Of Science in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University, School of Medicine. Jessica is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Mr. Stevens was a partner in the Boston law firm Foley Hoag LLP for 38 years, practicing environmental law with a focus on public health issues. He served as counsel in the cases that established treatment standards for Boston's wastewater, drinking water, and storm water. Mr. Stevens also represented Boston University in connection with its planned Level 4 biocontainment laboratory and participated in numerous risk-based cleanups of environmental contamination. He has long been active in the preservation of open land and currently serves as chairman of the Concord Land Conservation Trust in Concord, Mass., where he lives with his wife, Virginia.

Julia previously was a staff writer at the Association of American Medical Colleges, where she wrote about trends and research in academic medicine for the association's digital news publication, AAMCNews. She also worked as a reporter for The Nation's Health, the official newspaper of the American Public Health Association, covering public health and member news.

Katrina Forrest serves as the Executive Director of the CityHealth initiative, working to help cities thrive through a set of proven, equity-centered policies that improve people's day-to-day quality of life, well-being, and health. Before joining CityHealth, Katrina served as both Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for At-Large D.C. Councilmember David Grosso. In that role, she co-managed a team of 10 and drafted more than 50 pieces of original legislation. She was responsible for leveraging community and Council relationships to drive the Councilmember's legislative agenda and policy priorities, as well as representing the Councilmember before government agencies, community partners, advocates, and other key stakeholders.
Before her work in local and state government, Katrina served as a Compliance Manager with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) working to advance fair housing and fair lending practices. Through educational training, building partnerships, and bringing private enforcement actions, Katrina served NCRC's members in urban, suburban, and rural neighborhoods to promote economic justice and mobility for low-wealth individuals and communities.
Katrina earned her bachelor's degree in administration of justice from George Mason University and her law degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago John Marshall Law School.

Katy Evans is a senior program officer at the de Beaumont Foundation, where she manages a portfolio of programs, projects, and grants focused on strengthening public health partnerships and shifting the national conversation from healthcare to health.
Previously, Katy spent seven years at The Rippel Foundation, where she worked with national and regional stewards to transform their health systems in pursuit of health, well-being, and equity. In her time at Rippel, Katy played an integral role in ReThink Health Ventures, three-year project that engaged deeply with six multisector partnerships across the country to understand what it takes to do business differently together. In 2018, she was part of the team that launched FORESIGHT, a collaborative initiative to equitably envision and bring about a new future for health and well-being.

Kay Schaffer, MPH, is a Senior Research Associate at the de Beaumont Foundation. Her focus is on the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS), the only nationally representative survey of the state and local government workforce.
Kay earned her MPH in Maternal and Child Health with a certificate in Global Heath from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. While in graduate school, she worked as a Research Assistant on the evaluation of the Improving Community Outcomes for Maternal and Child Health program (ICO4MCH), where she developed evaluation materials and conducted research on collective impact within local health departments in North Carolina. Kay has also worked as a public health consultant for Curamericas Global in the Northwestern Highlands of Guatemala where she conducted a barrier analysis survey for modern methods of family planning among indigenous Maya women to improve reproductive health services in the region.

Kim Harris is the Executive Assistant in the Office of the CEO at the de Beaumont Foundation.
Kim is passionate about the "behind the scenes" work that makes organizations successful, and she has extensive experience as an executive assistant in both the public and private sectors. Prior to this role, Kim was the Executive Assistant at Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, TB, and Malaria. Kim has also worked with Project Concern International, a global development organization that advances women and girls.

Dr. Parker is a graduate of Harvard College and obtained his MD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. He received specialty training in medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and joined the faculty at Dana-Farber in 1975. He holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is an attending physician at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He has authored more than 50 scientific articles. Dr. Parker serves as an Overseer of the Sea Education Association. He is the president of the Nina Ryan Foundation and is a director of Anchor Stone Company, a family-owned business in Tulsa, Okla. Dr. Parker and his wife, Winifred, live in Wayland, Mass.
Leslye Dwight, MS, joined the de Beaumont Foundation as a Grants & Contracts Manager in May 2022. She is responsible for leading the grants management work across several program portfolios. In addition, she offers support to the managing of various components of the Foundation's procurement activities and systems.
Throughout her career, she has provided administrative and operational oversight to programmatic initiatives that focus on health and human services and social justice matters in underrepresented communities. Prior to joining the Foundation, Leslye was the National Programs Manager for the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation where she led organizing efforts centered on voting rights, health equity and economic justice with affiliates across the nation.
From the implementation of cost savings initiatives at the Pew Charitable Trusts or the analytical and financial background she developed while working with Prince George's County government, Leslye's management experience cuts across numerous sectors.
Leslye holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Bowie State University and a Master of Science degree in Human Services Management from the McDaniel College.
Lindsey Burton-Anderson, MPH, CHES is a Research Associate where she focuses on the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS), the only nationally representative survey of the state and local government workforce.
Prior to her role as Research Associate, Lindsey worked as a Public Policy Associate at The Carter Center where she worked to advocate for school-based behavioral health services to be reimbursed by Medicaid at a universal level in the state of Georgia.
Lindsey earned her MPH in Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. While in graduate school, Lindsey worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Southeast Mental Health Technology Transfer Center. She focused on developing communication products that advocated for equitable workforce development in the behavioral health system. Similarly, her time as a Graduate Research Assistant on the Certified Peer Specialists of Color Project allowed her to share the lived experiences of Black peer workers. She was also a Program Assistant for the Humphrey Fellowship Program at Emory University in which she supported the educational experiences of mid-career international fellows studying Public Health in the United States. Lindsey is certified as a Health Education Specialist. She earned a BA in Sociology and a minor in African Studies from Emory University.

Lynne Le, MPH, is a program officer at the de Beaumont Foundation. She manages the Modernized Anti-Racist Data Ecosystems (MADE) for Health Justice grant as well as other programs across the organization with an emphasis on racial and health equity.
Prior to joining the de Beaumont Foundation, Lynne was the Inclusive Strategies Manager at CityMatCH, a national maternal and child health organization. In her role, she worked with local and state health departments across the country, other national MCH organizations, and federal partners to advance equity for MCH populations. Her duties primarily included managing programs with an emphasis on systems-level change and alignment between state and local public health through capacity building and technical assistance. Key aspects of her role included elevating local-level experiences in state and national arenas, ensuring authentic community engagement in public health programming, and leading national conversations about how to approach MCH work differently to achieve equity. She also has vast experience in providing equity-focused trainings, facilitation, and meeting planning. Preceding her most recent role at CityMatCH, Lynne also served as an analyst for the organization and, before that, at a State Health Department.
Lynne holds her Masters of Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Epidemiology and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Maddie Kapur, MPH, MSW, is a Program Officer at the de Beaumont Foundation. She manages a portfolio of programs, partnerships, and grants focused on supporting and advancing the public health workforce.
Prior to joining the de Beaumont Foundation, Maddie was the Adolescent Health Coordinator at the Virginia Department of Health, where she managed statewide positive youth development and sexuality education programs as well as the agency's first Youth Advisory Council. In that role, she also partnered with community organizations throughout Virginia to advance access to sexuality education in the state. Maddie also served as a Workforce Development Trainer at the Virginia Department of Health, facilitating leadership workshops and developing trainings for state and local health department officials. Maddie began her career in the education sector, working as a Teach for America Corps Member in New Orleans and later as a Program Coordinator at iMentor in New York City.
Maddie holds master's degrees in public health and social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Boston University.

Before coming to the Foundation, she served as a research manager at Cancer Support Community where she supported the Cancer Experience Registry, a national survey of cancer patients and caregivers. There she contributed to both academic and participant-focused writing addressing unmet needs of those impacted by cancer. Maddy earned her MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Penn State, College of Medicine. While in graduate school, she worked as a research assistant for a project focused on identifying and removing barriers to cervical and colorectal cancer screening among rural women in Pennsylvania.

Mark Miller leads strategic communications to support the de Beaumont Foundation's mission, initiatives, and partners, applying his experience in philanthropy, health care, politics, and policymaking to improve the health of communities and people.
Throughout his career, Mark has advanced political, nonprofit, and corporate missions in leadership positions at the Case Foundation, the White House, Children's National Health System, the National Governors Association, and the Corporation for National Service. He was also a senior vice president at Powell Tate, the Washington office of global PR agency Weber Shandwick. He combines traditional communications skills with an expertise in digital strategies and creates integrated, innovative solutions that deliver measurable results and spark social change.
Mark was a senior writer and editor in the Clinton White House, where he managed a team of policy writers. Also during the Clinton Administration, he helped launch and shape the AmeriCorps national service program.
Mark has been invited to speak about effective communications and social impact to organizations including the American Public Health Association, the Society for Health Communication, the International Vaccine Summit, Human Rights First, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the Children's Hospital Association, the Child Health Corporation of America, and National Capital Healthcare Executives. His writing has appeared in numerous blogs, websites, and publications, and for several years he was the reggae reporter for The Washington Post.
Maya Najjar joined the de Beaumont Foundation as a Research Assistant in 2023. In this role, Maya works in close collaboration with the entire Research, Evaluation, and Learning team, helping to facilitate the foundation's Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS), as well as maintaining its data management systems.
Maya is a committed and innovative professional with a demonstrated history of propelling organizational operations to success. Prior to her research assistant position, she distinguished herself through a pivotal role as a dedicated research intern at the de Beaumont Foundation. In this capacity, she played an integral part in the orchestration and implementation of PH WINS.
As a research intern, Maya navigated the complexities of research and her commitment to contributing meaningfully to the organization's overarching goals. Maya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Melissa Monbouquette, MPA, is the Executive Director of The BUILD Health Challenge® (BUILD), a national initiative that is creating sustainable health improvements and advancing health equity by supporting community-centered, multi-sector partnerships across the U.S. Melissa leads the program's innovation and equity practices to drive sustainable improvements in health for all. She serves as a thought leader and key resource for awardees and partners through BUILD's strategy, implementation, and learning.
Melissa has built her career in nonprofit strategy and operation and is dedicated to ensuring that communities have what they need to thrive. Prior to her work with BUILD, she served as a Program Officer with the de Beaumont Foundation where she managed a portfolio of projects focused on cross-sector collaboration, social determinants of health, and workforce development in the public health sector. She has also held roles at the National Children's Museum, the Pew Research Center, and the Museo del Prado.

Dr. Brennan is an oncology surgeon with special expertise in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas, endocrine tumors, and pancreatic and stomach cancers. He was chairman of the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 1985 to June 2006. Today he continues in active practice and is currently Vice President of International Programs and director of the Bobst International Center. Dr. Brennan has lectured throughout the world and authored or co-authored more than 1,000 scientific papers and book chapters, as well as a book on soft tissue sarcoma.
He has served as director of the American Board of Surgery, chairman of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, president of the Society of Surgical Oncology, vice president of the American College of Surgeons, and president of the American Surgical Association. He has been awarded Honorary Fellowships in the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Ireland, Edinburgh, England, Australasia, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and Canada. Dr. Brennan has received honorary doctorates from the Universities of Edinburgh, Otago, Goteborg, and University College of London. In 1995, Dr. Brennan was honored with membership in the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, and in 2000, he received the American College of Surgeons' highest award, the Distinguished Service Award. In January 2015, he was appointed by Her Majesty The Queen as Knight Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
