At the Intersection of "Old San Francisco" and "New San Francisco" you'll find a bus stop, not downtown at the Transbay Terminal, but on the corner of Union and Laguna; the Bus Stop Building & Saloon to be exact. Since 1900, this legacy property has stood the test of time, 2 huge earthquakes and is a testament to the pride of ownership for the Ferroni Family. Bars operating here have been in the family for over 102 years and the building itself for over 69. Gabriele Ferroni's great uncle bought the bar back in 1919 when it was known as the Smokey Saloon. The bar remained steadfast throughout prohibition and its lineage continued when his grandfather bought it and it became known as the Transport Club. When his father purchased it in 1960, it was renamed the Bus Stop. Gabe came to possess the Bus Stop and continue the family tradition in 1999.
