TLOMA GIVING - Key Persons
Dr. Jim Swallow graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He went on to specialize in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care. Jim and his family later moved to the northern coast of California where he practiced office and hospital medicine.
While on a return visit to East Africa, Jim and his wife encountered Tloma Primary School, where the children stole their hearts. Jim joined forces with other like-minded people to form Tloma Giving.
Dr. Jonna Holland is a Professor Emeritus in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards. Her passion is helping people transform their own future through education and entrepreneurship.
Jonna and her husband traveled to Tanzania in June of 2016. Their tour group visited Tloma Primary School. Here she first met Bertin Sulle and the Grade 7 students at Tloma Primary School who changed her life forever!

Stan Thomas resides in California. He majored in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southern California, and worked as a data analyst and software tester for an aviation-related data management company. He has co-edited a newsletter and was a contributing writer for a local newspaper.
During a trip to Tanzania, Stan, his wife, and sister made an unplanned visit to Tloma Primary School. That chance visit led to a rewarding association with the school and Tloma Giving.
Winona Perry and her husband, Bob, live in Utah. They have three children and six grandchildren. Winona majored in Journalism and Marketing, and worked as a legal secretary, textbook editor, ghostwriter, and staff assistant.
During a 2018 safari trip to Tanzania, the Perrys visited Tloma Primary School. Winona became determined to learn more about Tanzanian culture. Over time, she met others who have likewise become enamored with Tloma and its residents, leading to the creation of Tloma Giving.
