Andrew heads up our Construction and Engineering team, having joined us from Osborne Clarke LLP where he was an Associate Director for 14 years.
Andrew's expertise is in contentious construction and engineering matters. He handles large, high profile cases for a wide variety of international and domestic clients, including utility companies, commercial and residential developers, contractors and specialist sub-contractors, including those working in the rail, energy, renewables as well as the offshore construction industries.
Andrew regularly presents seminars on construction related legal issues to clients in-house and to external bodies such as the RICS.
Andrew graduated from Bristol University and completed his post graduate studies at Birmingham University.
He trained and qualified with Neil F Jones & Co in 1995 and joined RWK Goodman in 2016. Chambers and Partners describe him as a "Leader in his field", whilst The Legal 500 UK refer to him as "a very good alternative to any London-based construction lawyer".

Bharat is a real estate partner and head of our Retail sector team. He is also the RWK Goodman Head of Diversity and is based in our London office.

Bharti is a Partner in the firm's Corporate team, specialising in domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions, corporate structures, group reorganisations and secured lending.
Bharti is a member of the firm's Financial Services sector group and regularly advises lenders and borrowers on banking and finance transactions.
Caroline works closely with international and UK based businesses and individuals; this gives her strategic and practical insight in working with our clients to help them achieve their aims globally. An experienced and commercially aware lawyer, she comes recommended by the Legal 500 UK, the clients' guide to the best UK law firms, and is described as "completely unflappable… and genuinely cares about her clients" (Legal 500 2016), "excellent" (Legal 500 2015) and is a recommended lawyer (Legal 500 2017).
Caroline assists international and USA businesses on inward investment, litigation and dispute resolution in the UK. She has a focus on the USA market. Caroline's UK and international clients benefit from her legal experience, commercial judgement and global network of trusted professional experts. She is trusted to deliver excellent service and strategic advice to other professionals and clients.
Caroline has numerous legal articles published and has been quoted in The Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian and specialist legal journals. She has been a speaker at the International Bar Association (Boston) and other prestigious conferences. The Legal 500 UK praised her as "a calm, clear-headed and careful lawyer who provides considered advice throughout and fully supports and reassures her clients".
Caroline serves clients around the UK but is also a key member of the Settlement Agreement team in London.

Catherine is an experienced corporate lawyer with a focus on international and domestic M&A for both buy-side and sell-side.
As a Senior Associate having joined the firm in 2017, Catherine supports Partners by managing the day to day operations of complex transactions and assisting with the structuring of them. Catherine also regularly advises clients on private joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and investments as well as their day-to-day corporate law requirements in matters such as shareholders agreements, articles of association and corporate governance.
Catherine leads our non-contentious Construction & Engineering team. Through her expert advice on procurement issues, she assists companies in managing their legal risks, whilst balancing their commercial interests. Catherine has considerable experience advising on all forms of construction & engineering contracts, particularly the JCT and NEC. Under Catherine's guidance, the firm's construction & engineering procurement offering continues its steady growth.
Catherine has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating construction & engineering contracts, including those based on NEC, JCT, FIDIC and IChemE standard forms and involving framework agreements, professional appointments, bonds and guarantees, project bank accounts, latent defects insurance, collateral warranties and third party rights.
She is adept at advising different project stakeholders on procurement strategies for all types of commercial, large-scale residential and renewable energy development projects, where she has worked with leading contractors, investors and developers.
Catherine commits to understanding her clients' needs. She offers sound advice, clearly identifying potential risks where they exist, and identifies potential solutions.
She joined us from Ashfords, having previously worked at Osborne Clarke, and has worked as part of the in-house legal team of an international energy and oil company.
Catherine runs industry-based training seminars and workshops, for example, covering the NEC4 suite of contracts.
Catherine is a committee member for the Constructing Excellence South West Bath Club.

Dominic is a capital markets and corporate lawyer. His team represents both listed clients and other advisers on several stock exchanges and his experience includes both equity and specialist debt listings.
Dominic's corporate work covers oil & gas, mining, financial services, security and communications, FMCG, LLP structuring, bond issues, investment advice and on occasion negotiations at government level. As well as working for companies in the UK, he has worked across the CIS, Europe and Francophone and Anglophone Africa. He runs the firm's French Desk.
Dominic is recommended in the 2022 edition of The Legal 500 for his M&A work.

Dominic is an active member of the Mongolian British Chamber of Commerce, the Senegalese Chamber of Commerce, the Mauritanian British Chamber of Commerce and the British Ukrainian Law Association. Dominic is a frequent speaker at legal and commercial events in France and Ukraine and is listed in the Who's Who Legal of Mining Lawyers.
Edward is a partner in the London corporate team and a member of the firm's executive committee. He was Goodman Derrick's senior partner prior to the merger with RWK Goodman.
Edward represents UK and international corporates, investors and owners on domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions, inward investments, fundraisings & private equity, corporate structures and group reorganisations. He has particular experience in the TMT and publishing sectors, where he has worked on a number of high profile transactions.

Elizabeth (known as Lizzy) is an Associate in the construction and engineering team. Lizzy advises clients across the entire supply chain to deliver construction and engineering projects, such as employers/developers, funders, contractors/consultants and specialist sub-contractors/consultants. Lizzy is always enthusiastic to hear about upcoming projects, innovative practices and the inspiring individuals who make up the industry.
Emily Barratt, solicitor in our specialist asbestos disease team was instructed by a client from Swindon in March 2020 following his diagnosis of mesothelioma. Instructions were received from the client during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and so all communication had to take place via telephone, instead of a face-to-face visit as usual.
Greg is a partner in the Real Estate team and advises clients on all aspects of real estate transactions. He also works in connection with the transfer of businesses including pubs and restaurants. Clients describe Greg as "commercially aware," "well versed in the intricacies of property finance and secured lending", and "very good at dealing with matters promptly and pragmatically."
As part of the Real Estate team, Greg acts for a wide range of clients including SMEs and owner managed businesses, individual commercial landlords as well as tenants. His work includes acquiring a number of retail stores in various shopping centres, predominantly in London. He takes particular pride in being able to guide clients successfully through complex legal process and explaining documentation in layman's terms.

Harriet is an Associate in our Oxford Real Estate team, she has a proven track record in acting on all aspects of real estate work.
Harriet completed her training contract at a West End firm before qualifying in December 2017 and going on to work in both the commercial and residential property departments of a well-established central London firm.
Moving to RWK Goodman in January 2020, Harriet is an Associate and part of the Oxford Real Estate team. She advises clients on all aspects of commercial real estate work and is developing a specialism within the retail sector. Harriet also assists clients in the charity sector (including Homeless Oxfordshire Limited and Wood Green Animal Shelters) with landlord and tenant interactions, acquisitions and sales, and secured lending work.

- Specialist Corporate Healthcare
Hazel is a specialist corporate healthcare lawyer whose clients include care organisations, children's homes and children's services, pharmacies, GPs, dentists, day nurseries and charities.
Hector is as an associate in Goodman Derrick's highly regarded corporate team.
Having graduated with a degree in Politics from the University of Edinburgh in 2015, Hector studied the GDL at Oxford Brookes and then the LPC at BPP in Holborn. Before starting his training contract with Goodman Derrick in August 2019 Hector worked as a paralegal for two years at various city law firms.
Lizzie Petersen was employed by the Bank of England as a banking clerk at their premises on Castle Street, Liverpool between 1957 and 1964. She was only a young woman at the time. Sadly, decades later Lizzie became poorly and was given the tragic news that she had developed mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure.
Margaret James was employed by Gwynedd County Council between 1976 and 1992 as a cleaner and caretaker at a junior school in Llandudno.

Simon acts on a full range of corporate transactions, including private and public acquisitions and disposals, private equity investment, joint ventures and corporate restructuring.
Simon has experience of advising clients in a broad range of sectors, such as technology, retail and sport, acting for both buy-side and sell-side clients.
Simon also has extensive experience advising companies and individuals on shareholders' agreements and general company matters including articles of association and Companies Act 2006 procedural issues and compliance.
