Andrew Ash

Andrew heads up our Construction and Engineering team, having joined us from Osborne Clarke LLP where he was an Associate Director for 14 years. Andrew's expertise is in contentious construction and engineering matters. He handles large, high profile cases for a wide variety of international and domestic clients, including utility companies, commercial and residential developers, contractors and specialist sub-contractors, including those working in the rail, energy, renewables as well as the offshore construction industries. Andrew regularly presents seminars on construction related legal issues to clients in-house and to external bodies such as the RICS. Andrew graduated from Bristol University and completed his post graduate studies at Birmingham University. He trained and qualified with Neil F Jones & Co in 1995 and joined RWK Goodman in 2016. Chambers and Partners describe him as a "Leader in his field", whilst The Legal 500 UK refer to him as "a very good alternative to any London-based construction lawyer". Catherine Hayes

Catherine is an experienced corporate lawyer with a focus on international and domestic M&A for both buy-side and sell-side. As a Senior Associate having joined the firm in 2017, Catherine supports Partners by managing the day to day operations of complex transactions and assisting with the structuring of them. Catherine also regularly advises clients on private joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and investments as well as their day-to-day corporate law requirements in matters such as shareholders agreements, articles of association and corporate governance.

Catherine leads our non-contentious Construction & Engineering team. Through her expert advice on procurement issues, she assists companies in managing their legal risks, whilst balancing their commercial interests. Catherine has considerable experience advising on all forms of construction & engineering contracts, particularly the JCT and NEC. Under Catherine's guidance, the firm's construction & engineering procurement offering continues its steady growth. Catherine has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating construction & engineering contracts, including those based on NEC, JCT, FIDIC and IChemE standard forms and involving framework agreements, professional appointments, bonds and guarantees, project bank accounts, latent defects insurance, collateral warranties and third party rights. She is adept at advising different project stakeholders on procurement strategies for all types of commercial, large-scale residential and renewable energy development projects, where she has worked with leading contractors, investors and developers. Catherine commits to understanding her clients' needs. She offers sound advice, clearly identifying potential risks where they exist, and identifies potential solutions. She joined us from Ashfords, having previously worked at Osborne Clarke, and has worked as part of the in-house legal team of an international energy and oil company. Dominic Prentis

Dominic is a capital markets and corporate lawyer. His team represents both listed clients and other advisers on several stock exchanges and his experience includes both equity and specialist debt listings. Dominic's corporate work covers oil & gas, mining, financial services, security and communications, FMCG, LLP structuring, bond issues, investment advice and on occasion negotiations at government level. As well as working for companies in the UK, he has worked across the CIS, Europe and Francophone and Anglophone Africa. He runs the firm's French Desk. Emily Barratt

Emily Barratt, solicitor in our specialist asbestos disease team was instructed by a client from Swindon in March 2020 following his diagnosis of mesothelioma. Instructions were received from the client during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and so all communication had to take place via telephone, instead of a face-to-face visit as usual.

Greg Callard

Greg is a partner in the Real Estate team and advises clients on all aspects of real estate transactions. He also works in connection with the transfer of businesses including pubs and restaurants. Harriet completed her training contract at a West End firm before qualifying in December 2017 and going on to work in both the commercial and residential property departments of a well-established central London firm. Moving to RWK Goodman in January 2020, Harriet is an Associate and part of the Oxford Real Estate team. She advises clients on all aspects of commercial real estate work and is developing a specialism within the retail sector. Harriet also assists clients in the charity sector (including Homeless Oxfordshire Limited and Wood Green Animal Shelters) with landlord and tenant interactions, acquisitions and sales, and secured lending work.
