Adriana is part of Oxera's Competition team. She has extensive experience in antitrust litigation, damages quantification, merger analysis-particularly in efficiencies-and IP rights, in the context of European Competition Policy Regulation and Arbitration proceedings.
She has advised clients in various matters across a variety of sectors, including financial services, insurance, automotive, telecoms, cash-in-transit and energy, among others. As a consultant, she provides her clients with practical applications of economic analysis tools.
Similarly, she has deeply analysed the workings of different markets, where she has designed and implemented impact evaluation and prediction techniques for analysing a wide set of issues.
Adriana has several years of experience providing expert witness testimony in court across various types of litigation, including arbitration disputes.

Adriano is a member of Oxera's Competition and Regulation teams, and specialises in competition analysis, regulatory economics and microeconomics. He graduated with an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in July 2014, where he specialised in industrial organisation, econometrics and microeconomics. Prior to this, he completed his undergraduate studies in Economics and Management at the University of Trento, Italy.
Adriano has advised a number of clients across a range of sectors on various regulatory and competition issues. His areas of focus include market investigations, antitrust and follow-on damages cases.
Adriano speaks English, Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Alan has 30 years of professional experience in applying economics to aid decision-making, in particular in the regulated sectors. He specialises in efficiency measurement and assessments, regulatory reform and regulatory incentive design.
He has provided strategic advice and expert evidence on mergers and acquisitions, regulatory due diligence, business planning, regulatory determinations, appeals and court cases. He has advised companies, investors, governments and regulatory authorities in the water, energy, transport, financial services and communications sectors across Europe.
Alan is co-author of A Practitioner's Guide to Stochastic Frontier Analysis using Stata with S. Kumbhakar and H.-J. Wang, published by Cambridge University Press in 2015. The book provides practitioners in academia and industry with a step-by-step guide on how to conduct efficiency analysis using the econometric approach, stochastic frontier analysis.
Alec is a member of Oxera's Analytics team and specialises in econometrics and data science. He has provided data-driven solutions to a range of clients across various sectors, including in commercial disputes, policy evaluations and modelling, performing Big Data analysis and applying machine-learning algorithms. He has also applied his analytical skills in the context of modelling energy markets, such as helping expand the model across the European energy markets and implementing various scenarios for a wide range of client queries, including paths to net zero. Most recently, he assisted clients in evaluating policy reforms that address energy curtailment and battery access rights in light of challenges arising from the energy transition.
Alec completed is MA in Economics from the University of St.Gallen. During his studies, he interned at Oxera, and then joined as an Analyst after completing his studies.

Aleksei is a member of the Finance & Valuation team at Oxera. His work involves applying corporate finance principles to a range of projects across sectors and geographies, with a particular focus on regulatory finance and state aid.
Aleksei joined Oxera in 2018 after completing a Master's degree in Finance at the IE Business School, Spain, focusing on corporate finance and valuation. Prior to this, Aleksei completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at Moscow State University, Russia. During his studies, he focused on macroeconomics and corporate finance. He has previously worked as an Intern at two Big Four firms in Corporate Finance and Audit.

Alfredo's professional experience encompasses research and analysis of regulation and competition for institutions such as CONSOB and Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato, and for firms such as Enel and Ferrovie dello Stato. From 2011 to 2015 he was Director General of Cassa Conguaglio per il settore elettrico (CCSE), the Italian clearing house of the electricity and gas sector. He was subsequently Senior Adviser at the infrastructure investor CDP Reti, where he advised on regulatory and antitrust issues. Alongside his work in business, Alfredo has taught at several Italian universities, including the University of Bologna, Tuscia University, University of Rome Tor Vergata, and LUISS Guido Carli, where he currently leads the Economic Policy course in the Department of Political Science.
Alfredo is associate editor of Mercato Concorrenza Regole, and author of numerous publications on public utilities regulation, privatisation, financial markets and economic policy. His book, Perché I'Italia cresce poco, was published by Il Mulino in 2016.
Andrea is a member of Oxera's Finance & Valuation team. He has experience working in commercial disputes, state aid and regulatoy finance across different geographies, particularly in the energy and transport sectors.
Before joining Oxera, Andrea worked as a data analyst for a fintech company processing private equity funds data, while also completing his Master's degree at EDHEC Business School.

Andrea is a member of Oxera's Competition team. He uses economics and analytical tools to provide solutions to a wide range of competition issues. He has worked on a variety of projects in the Italian market, with a focus on mergers, antitrust investigations and antitrust damages. He also has experience in the digital sector, working on projects in the UK and in other European countries.
He holds an MSc in Economics and Social Science from Bocconi University, where he specialised in economic theory and econometrics, and also worked as a research assistant.

Andreas is a member of Oxera's Analytics and Competition teams, where he specialises in quantitative analysis and econometrics. He joined Oxera in 2022, having previously interned at other economic consultancies in Norway and the UK. Andreas holds an MSc Economics from Bocconi University, where he focused on microeconomics and applied econometrics. He obtained undergraduate degrees from the National University of Singapore and Sciences Po Paris.

Andreea is a Consultant in Oxera's Digital practice and a member of the Competition team. She has experience in merger reviews, litigation, market investigations, data valuation and public policy assessments. She advised a range of clients including goods manufacturers, consumer organisations, telecoms firms and digital platforms.
In 2022, Andreea completed a six months secondment at the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), where she worked on the Mobile Ecosystem Market Study and an antitrust investigation relating to a large online platform. She won the International Institute of Communications 2021 Future Leaders Competition with her entry ‘How to achieve a delicate balance - principles for regulating internet intermediaries'.
Before joining Oxera in 2017, Andreea completed an MPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford focusing on industrial organisation and econometrics. She also worked as a research assistant on projects ranging from impact evaluation, labour markets and immigration to developing differential privacy algorithms for open data.

Andrew is head of Oxera's Transport team and specialises in the economics of the sector. He draws together different types of economic and finance analysis to find solutions in collaboration with clients. He builds long-term relationships that enable him to propose and implement solutions on behalf of the sector and its stakeholders.
Andrew supports clients across Europe and further afield, and he regularly provides expert testimony to courts, parliaments and round tables, as well as commercial advice to governments and businesses. He has more than 20 years' experience of working on infrastructure and operations across the transport modes, covering aviation, public transport, logistics and maritime.

Anna is a member of Oxera's Competition and Transport teams. She has advised clients in Europe, Canada, Asia and South America on a wide range of competition issues such as mergers, abuse of dominance, and antitrust damages, in the context of investigations by competition authorities and in private litigation. She has experience in the aviation sector, as well as many other sectors such as telecoms and retail.
Anna has regularly presented to lawyers and corporate clients on a wide variety of topics. Before joining Oxera in 2015, she completed an internship in the Chief Economist's Team of the Directorate General for Competition at the European Commission in Brussels, where she worked on a Phase II merger. She also worked as an intern at SEO Economic Research in the Netherlands. Anna has an MSc in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, focusing on industrial organisation and competition policy
Antoine is part of Oxera's Competition team and has worked on various competition cases, including antitrust litigations, antitrust damages, mergers and market investigations, across sectors such as telecoms and media, payment systems, transport (railways) and the waste management sector.
Antoine joined Oxera in February 2021 after completing an Advanced Master in quantitative methods for economic and financial decisions at ENSAE and a Masters in corporate finance and strategy at Sciences Po (Paris). He also participated in a three-month student ‘business project' where he analysed real e-commerce data provided by the main challenger of Amazon in France.
During his studies, Antoine completed off-cycle internships at an competition economics consultancy in Paris and at the economic research department of Coface, a leading trade credit insurer. Before joining Oxera, he worked for several years at the OECD as an economic analyst in the fields of public procurement and regional and urban development.

Antonio is a member of Oxera's Finance and Valuation team. He specialises in regulatory finance, valuation and damage estimation. In particular, he has experience in working on various aspects of the Italian transport and energy regulation, as well as UK water and energy regulation. He has advised various clients on the cost of capital estimation and financial modelling in a number of due diligence cases regarding regulated assets, and he has advised companies and law firms on valuation issues in litigations and international arbitrations.
Antonio regularly delivers sessions at Oxera's Utility Finance course held in Italy, as well as ad hoc workshops for clients. Before joining Oxera in 2018, Antonio studied economics and finance at the University of Siena and the University of Durham.

Arantxa is a member of Oxera's Regulation & Market Design, and Competition teams. She has worked on several competition and regulation cases, including antitrust litigations, market investigations and regulatory due dilligence across a wide range of sectors, such as retail, transport, water and energy.
Before joining Oxera, she interned at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico and worked as a research assistant for over two years with a focus on microeconomics at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

Before joining Oxera, Asal collaborated with an author from the London School of Economics and Political Science on a forthcoming book.
Prior to this, she completed a Master's degree at the University of Warwick, with a focus on ESG investment strategies. She also holds a Master's in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and completed an undergraduate degree in Economics and Management at King's College London.

Azra is a member of Oxera's Competition team. She uses economics and analytical tools to provide solutions to a range of client issues, and has worked on projects including competition investigations and damages quantification.
Before joining Oxera, Azra graduated with an MSc in Industrial Economics and Markets from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where she specialised in competition and market regulation. She also holds a BSc in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.
Bastian is an expert in energy economics, financial valuation and damages quantification. He provides economic dispute support in investment arbitration, commercial disputes and tax disputes.
Bastian has 15 years' experience in economic consulting encompassing economic analysis of competitive and regulated markets, complex valuation analysis and damages assessment, expert testimony in high-stakes energy arbitrations, and economic dispute support in international tax disputes relating to transfer pricing.
Before joining Oxera in 2022, he worked at NERA, where he acted mainly as a party-appointed expert witness in energy arbitration and other commercial disputes. His expert witness experience includes the preparation of expert and rebuttal reports, oral testimony under cross-examination, and expert witness conferencing in energy arbitrations. In commercial disputes relating to long-term contracts, Bastian testified before arbitral tribunals on gas and storage markets and competition analysis, such as market definition and margin control. In the context of international tax disputes, he performed economic assessments of transfer pricing issues that had arisen at multinational companies in Germany, the UK, France and Australia.
Bastian is experienced in Mergers & Acquisitions: he acted as M&A adviser in the energy and infrastructure team of the investment bank Rothschild. He also has professional experience as an economic analyst with Ernst & Young London, where he started his career in 2004.

Anastasia has experience advising clients in a wide range of competition and civil litigation cases across a variety of sectors. She joined Oxera's Paris office in 2021 after working for six years as a Manager at MAPP-KPMG in Paris. She has been involved in several merger and antitrust cases before the European Commission and in different European jurisdictions-primarily in France and Belgium. She has expertise in a range of sectors including fast-moving consumer goods, online commerce, energy, transport, telecoms, and medical equipment.
Anastasia has also advised clients and conducted competition policy workshops in Eastern Europe, in particular in Russia, Ukraine and Georgia. She has presented at the Annual Global Antitrust Forum in Ukraine (2017), and led a Competition Policy workshop on economic analysis organised by the International School of Economics in Tbilisi for economists and legal advisers at the Georgian Competition Authority and Policy institute (2016).
