Daphne Bell - Founder

Daphne Bell is the founder of AIM HIGH. Skilled and experienced at teaching work adjustment training skills, her mission is to help individuals overcome barriers to employment. She works closely with each customer to help identify and achieve employment goals that reflect each individual's skills, interests, and desires. Daphne has passionately spent the last six years in job development, and in the roles of job skills trainer, job coach, job placement specialist, and supported employment specialist. She is serving in her fifth consecutive year as skills trainer and job coach for Project SEARCH at Texas Children's Health Plan, in Bellaire, TX, where she works with transition-aged youth (17-22). Daphne also has a lifetime of experience, advocating for individuals with disabilities (the differently-abled), as a sister, mother, and grandmother.

Lisa Mangum

Job Titles:
  • Certified Special Education Teacher
Lisa Mangum is an experienced, certified special education teacher, specializing in transition for youth with disabilities. She was instrumental in the formation and success of the Project SEARCH Program at Texas Children's Health Plan. In addition to her 20+ years of experience with transition-aged youth, Lisa holds degrees in Business Technology and Accounting, which affords her the ability to teach two key lessons for independence: Computer Literacy and Money Management. Her background and experience, along with her tenacity to reach all students, has led to her life's vocation of preparing students for competitive employment and independence.

Rochelle Wright

Rochelle Wright has served students with disabilities for over 15 years through Gulf Coast Community Services Association (GCCSA), and the Houston Independent School District (HISD), as a paraprofessional. Rochelle is in her fifth year as a Skills Trainer for Project SEARCH @ Texas Children's Health Plan where she works to help young adults (18-22), with significant disabilities, learn job skills. She has gained additional experience as a Skills Trainer through the Summer Earn and Learn Program (SEAL) and work experience sites including MD Anderson and the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. Rochelle's experience and patience has proven to be a winning combination when providing vocational guidance to high school students and graduates.
